Terrible, avoidable decision. Speak to Steve, not Nev!

    Steves post match interview.....

"I couldn't fault the players. We were organised, hard to beat, compact and we frustrated Stoke. They had one shot in the second half and scored.

"If we continue that hard work then we'll get what we deserve.

"It's difficult to stomach but you have to. Saturday at home against Bournemouth is a big game - we've got 11 games left and need a certain amount of victories. With the talent we've got, we're confident we can do it."

He has said this every game of the season. Yet we never win. We have scored 7 away goals all season. Does he have a mental problem.

He says we have 11 games left. I believe we need 39 points for survival. Possibly only 38. That means we need 14 points minimum. That's at least 4 wins and 2 draws from 11 games. We have won 6 games all season. I can't on paper see where the wins are coming from. We can't keep turning up for games trying to be hard to beat Steve. We have to try and win. The mentality is not to get beat. Yet we have lost a staggering 15 games out of 27. Lost 15/20 away from home. The stats just look terrible. 100 million spent and we have Elliott Taylor dummett sissoko goufran and colback ****ing about on the pitch. Added to mitro does dick all. Lascalles who is not premiership quality and janmaat who just Fannie's on with sissoko. It's unbelievable at this stage of the season that mclarens is still in charge. I can see us going down but there is no fight. It is very obvious the players are not up for the fight. Most want away and none are buying into this Shute mclarens Keeps spouting.

think somebody jumped into a time machine when they a[pointed maclaren ..so far behind in ideas etc than a top level manager nowadays .

cant defend , have no real game plan .or idea of how to create etc ..just seems that wanted to sit back ..now thats ****e and who would pay to watch that .not me

if hes in charge til the end of the season expect this every away game ..soon as you see gouffran then hes defending all game

We have left it too late to pull the trigger. There is no one available who will know how to turn this around.

Can someone explain one more thing to me about the match - we won the coin toss, right? Shelvey then elected to play against the wind for the second half. Some 20 years or so ago I was playing pub football on a Sunday and even then, on sloping farmers fields with goalposts, you knew you wanted to play with the wind in the second half, if you could. Along with tying bootlaces and wearing shinpads, that was about the third thing I ever learned in football. So can anyone explain to me why we CHOSE to play against the wind in the latter parts of the match?
