Needed that was starting to forget how a win against top teams felt ! well done the lads except for that donkey gomiss ! 88% happy happy .
Thanks for the offer Valley but i reflection I going to open a bottle of London Pride instead (maybe Fullers should rename it Swansea City - pride of the Emirates)
That was actually a good performance tonight. Quite possibly aided by the fact that Ayew stayed wider and got stuck in more second half and Kingsley offered a threat up the left from full back. There was more positive play than normal. Cork showed that he can boss and break-up play against the best of them. Siggy's presence was a MASSIVE upgrade on the very poor Ki. Routledge was back to his best. Gomis showed some nice touches, but really got worse as the game went on. I was very impressed with the defensive line, Amat showed some ring-rust but was solid (as did Kingsley). And it wasn't like Fabianski had a heroic night, albeit they hit the woodwork 3 times. All-in-all, when the final whistle went, it was nice to know that we'd won without having our backs to the wall for 85 minutes. We pressed in their half right to the end and that positive defensive play was the key to us getting numerous clear chances. Fantastic win, and some of these boys need to be given the "first team" berth to lose now that they've proved their worth.
Will be interesting to see what team plays against Norwich. Hopefully this is the start of a 4 match unbeaten run that could reap 10 points! Its good to be in the thirties and on the way to my target of 35 by the end of March
Fantastic win Great tactics by Curt, playing the woodwork in our defensive line was a master stroke, shame about the plank at the other of the pitch though Kingsley for sure BK I'm knackered
Kingsley looks good and assured, also good going forward, I think he is definitely better than Taylor.............
