"If we can't even string a few passes together and get a single shot on goal against the Spanners, how the fcuk do we expect to beat Arsenal?" Shipping forecast weather predicted for Sunday and Wenger adopting niggly MF hoofball ??
This is one of the worst halves of football from us in a long long time. Very concerning go see both CB's in the book, too. I couldn't get a stream for a while, but I've not seen us have an attack yet. Infact, I can't recall seeing the ball in their defensive third yet.
I hate they made me doubt the one certainty in my life...that I will never see us win a league title. I was happy knowing that and they got me to slightly doubt it...before reestablishing it as a truth carved in stone. Feck the lot of them
We look nervous and intimidated, simple as. The desire is there but the control and final ball has deserted us. Too many passengers out there at the moment. I would haul off Chadli and Trippier for Son and Walker. The latter in particular is crucial now that both CB's are ludicrously in the book. Trippier simply can't cope with Payet. Mason and Dier are being overrun but in Bentaleb's absence, who is there on the bench to strengthen the central areas?
1-0 HT. Possibly our worst half of the season. Totally aimless. Lots of missed passes, miscontrols and lost tackles. Not winning enough 2nd balls, either. I expect a tactical change at half-time and possibly a sub, too. Need a much, much better performance in the 2nd half.
My only consoling thought is that we cannot possibly be any worse in the second half. Sure, we might well get nothing from this game, but surely we'll give it a go in the second half! We've got to attack, because if we continue to let the Spanners press us like that, one of our CBs is going to get sent off.
Worst we've played all season so far. Grateful to only be one down. Midfield has been poor for us and we've never looked like creating anything. We need Son or Alli on to give us some speed in attack. Dier needs to stop dropping back too, we're not battling for anything in midfield without him.
