You should be nice to luv and me- we're what amusingly passes for your bezzy mates on here. We've even let you have our phone numbers. The fact that we never answer is neither here nor there.
I work in HR... Ours is pretty split to be fair. In the admin side it's mainly women but the split of advisors and all the other parts of hr are pretty male dominated. I guess it's in line with the rest of our business which is about 75% male oriented.
I hope you're not contravening your companies internet policy by posting on a forum during work hours?
I'm defo coming over to Sheepland when the weather is more clement. All you need to do in return is the reverse compliment
Like many on here, my experiences of working with the fairer sex has generally been positive. However, what does "grind my gears" is my company has embarked on this more women in the boardroom mentality. In the last 12 months, I have seen two women promoted into senior positions because they are women and two guys, who were more deserving miss out because of it. Surely, promotions should be based on ability rather than gender.
I echo this sentiment. I dislike any group being given special treatment. Positive discrimination for one group is negative discrimination against everyone else. Everything should be merit based and not racially, religously, or sexually based.
Are there really that many female shepherds and miners? Understood your sentiment... But you can flip a coin 20 times in a row and always get tails. Unless it's a trick coin it doesn't mean the 21st time will be tails.
