And Wilson who never played for West Ham in his life (think he was at Huddersfield or Everton in '66). Just happened to be one of the players hoisting Moore aloft in the famous photo so he is part of the statue as well.

Personally I am not offended, but associating them with 'pull up in a pick-up truck and half-inch the bronzes' is wrong IMHO

That sums up my feelings exactly. On August 8th, the team ran out onto the field at Old Trafford with a chance at going first. Who among us would have guessed we would have at least one more chance, and that it would come on March 2nd?

While I agree with the general direction of these posts, only a member of the indigenous minority is really in a position to say whether the term is factual or offensive. I doubt whether anyone would dispute that the New Orleans ******s should not be allowed for example. I've got no knowledge of whether 'redskin' was a derogatory term but if it was it is unreasonable for a team to be called that. The problem with terms like 'Yid' is that they are often used as an offensive term towards Jews. But if you a Spurs supporter you van throw that back at the accuser as a 'badge of honour'.

Even though that's pretty much the same way the club got their new stadium?

It was meant to be light hearted, a caricature. The east end of London was alway synonymous with crime, both organised and petty.

Most of my post was pretty tonge in cheek, saying 30,000 more fans than they normally get is obviously an exageration but it refers to they fact that they often have problems filling their stadium. In fact I'd be surprised if the Boleyn holds much more than 30,000.

35,016 - hence the constant full page ads in Metro and the Standard begging people to come to their games.

So next season they can have a bit of a run around during matches, such will be the free space.

What is upsetting me most is that this fantastic team came together at exactly the time I left the country so I have not had a chance to see them in the flesh. Last year the only weekend I was in the UK we were away to Woolwich and there was not a prayer of getting a ticket. Like Spurf and othersI remember the double, but I think our achievement this season competing against warehouses full of dollars, roubles and assorted Middle East currencies is astounding. I can almost feel the buzz 1500 miles away.

They are going to have to buy a few thousand of those blow up rubber dolls off the pornographer-in-chief to fill the stadium next year.

Seems to have really been pushed down the pecking order.

Yes it's a strong bench but lack of semi competent defensive players operating in central areas is a real concern.

I reckon they would have gone after Dele Alli to try and get him riled up and sent off. Ryan Mason will front it out and we can always make changes if needed. Chadli's on a hot streak at the moment. COYS!!
