No just dont forget SA is not the reincarnation of that lazy carpenter.

He's already said he'd take a point from this game. After the Watford is a 6 pointer comment weeks ago, he's hardly awe inspring.

Did he say that last night or are you saying that's his favourite phrase?

Oh right I thought you meant against Palace.

Yeah, Southampton are a good side despite their result last night. A point would be a point gained at St Mary's I'd say.

Sam Allardyce has 1.05 points per game since he took charge. That'll not be good enough to keep you up.

Since the January window opened, SA has 1.33 points per game and that'll put you on 37 so at that rate, it's touch and go and you're gonna need a focused, fit and determined squad. You can't afford to lose more points like last night. WBA (H) Newcastle (A) Norwich (A) - three games that you will need to take 3 points from in my view.

He'd certainly win the red and white tinted glasses award.

I might be picking this up wrong, mate. Do you think that's wrong what he said?

I'd snap your hand off now for a point on the weekend. I've thought for a couple of weeks that Southampton will beat us at a canter, probably about 3-0. Just a feeling I've got...

It's an issue that won't go away mate, you're dealing with technically gifted attackers probably every game in this league now. Even teams like Stoke have them now. As much as you guys like Kone for being a unit and flattening the odd player he doesn't have that ability to be a second ahead of the game, from what I've seen of him in France. Wes Brown does, but he doesn't have the legs to keep up with his brain. Sam's opting for physicality over technical ability, which is his style, who am I to argue, it's worked often enough for him.

The Sky lads last night weren't too complimentary about the Saints at all. Sounded like a very lacklustre performance.

You just know they'll turn out and turn it on against us!

Kone's body and fitness with Brown's mind would be playing for one of the top clubs in the world!

FWIW - I like Kone - he's a decent enough player but he's not great on the ball! He's better with JOS beside him - I think JOS and Kaboul is our best pairing personally.

    Probably yeah.

Is it snowing where you guys are by the way? We're expecting the whole of Greater Manchester to be covered in snow in the next few hours according to the radio. Gonna be a dream getting down to Old Trafford tonight, with all the donkies who drive 6mph because they think their car will skid 100 miles down the road.

I bet their lacklustre performance wasn't as half as bad as our lacklustre performance :steam: (Yes, I'm still pissed about our game last night)

We have to be on top of our game to get anything down there, I think they are a much better outfit than West Ham.
