Poor Robbie could have back to back relegations on his CV, then tonight. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/norwich-winger-robbie-brady-loses-7475361 Poor lad i do feel for him, think he should have stayed with HCAFC. UTT
Good to see Kevin Friend is injured again already. Not that I like to see players injured, but good that it weakens the closest thing we have to a title 'rival', if you could call Boro that.
Just my opinion but IF we go up and IF Norwich come down we could see Brady back. I guess it could be complicated but he was always one of Bruce's favourites and he is 'average' at least for the Premier League which is more than a great deal of our current players.
I don't think we need him TBH! We made a good profit on him & moved on. To stay up we would need to freshen things up, not go back! Yes he's decent for lower PL, but we need better.
Completely agree, we should be looking at the likes of Ronaldo who is unhappy at Real Madrid instead.
Excellent idea Laurie. From what I've seen of him he's improved significantly at Norwich. If they are relegated and we are promoted, which seems quite possible, and we get a crazy bid from the big boys for Robbo (20 mill?) we could arguably get Brady back for half that. He has become a lethal crosser of the ball and from set pieces and also has a nice turn of speed and....can SCORE GOALS!! Makes sense...and he loved it at Hull City!!! Just what we need with young Tymon coming in at LB.
No chance, he was always the best possible sale we could make. If we'd kept him and Robertson they would have both stalled each other's progress, and if we had to choose one to keep it was Robertson all the way. There's no hindsight involved, I said this consistently at the time. Best sale we've made in the last 5 years in my opinion.
We don't need him to play on the wing, besides even if we did SB would succeed in him being a success there!
"New Argie kid"? Do you mean the Paolo Dybala who has played in Serie A for the past 4 seasons? He's hardly "new".
I don't follow Italian football so to me he's new, the only reason I'd heard of him yesterday was because it was on SSN about him. Besides it's all irrelevant as I was being sarcastic about the whole thing!
I agree. We wouldn't have seen the progress made by Robertson this season and we wouldn't have unearthed Clucas who has in my opinion been excellent. Good money in the bank from the sale of Brady, who was excellent for us, but the money on the table was too good to turn down.
Brady would have played left wing and he's far better than Clucas. Selling him weakened us but it's turned out alright.
