Get the old band back together and hope they all spur each other on, I think. I'd go with... Forster; Cédric, Fonte, Van Dijk, Bertrand; Clasie, Romeu, S. Davis; Mané, Pellè, Tadić.
Agree with the above, Pelle was good when he came on. Would be nice to have Tadic and Mane pushing out wide like old times. Really dont see a need for 5 at the back vs. Sunderland to be honest. Clasie will make a big difference as well IMO.
I know I thought he was excellent, by far our best player. Lapses in concentration is his weakness it seems
DtLw, I think it I'd just disappointment, after a really poor two months, we got it back together. Then a slip up against s Costa inspired Chelsea ( that I kind of get) and then a woeful performance against one of the also rans. I think a lot of us expected a win ( if you can) to put pressure on WH and United. For some of us older fans it seemed to remind me of the " old Saints " - build you up to break your heart. Apologies to our mod who will tell us this is the New Saints, but to me there is still a little of the old Saints we all grew up with
In other news in the darkest depths of pro football Pompey managed to not win again! I wondered why we were not being inundated by the skates. Cheers (the mighty) Exeter.
As long as he's fit and firing for next season, ready to score a hat-trick in their new stadium I'm not fussed about it.
I'll play. I am 46, but more interested than Mane, more mobile than Pelle and better looking than Long
Well that was disappointing, poor in possession and lacking intensity. Formation did not work and we rarely threatened. Bournemouth worked hard but didn't create much but both the conceded goals were poor, like the referee who gave some very soft fouls.
