Off Topic The Goodhand Arms

Got another wisdom tooth coming through. So taking the day off work.

 

I had 3 taken out at the same time ! First one came out after there was an infection .

 

This is my fourth coming through now. My left bottom jaw one impacted so I had to have two teeth out. This one seems ok so far.

 

Ah, Cool Hand Luke...."What we have here is a failure to communicate"....RIP George..

 

Frittes with Mayo walking to my seat through the damp forest @ 07:00 at the Belgium f1 GP in the 1990's ...heaven ...

 

Found a half drunk bottle of Merlot at back of cupboard. Probably been there at least 2 months, but waste not, want not. Actually going down a treat....nice and smooth.

 

Wine at this time?

Hardly any comments about the game, but mention some wine and you all wake up.

 

Wine is nasty anyways.

 

I am looking forward to the game,away on holibob at mo, so can watch it in the pub and have some vino and not worry about work in the morning

 

Au contraire, in France you can't have lunch without wine.

 

New Top Gear rumoured to be delayed and cut from 8 to 6 episodes. Starting to sound like it is a mess

Can't call the previous era a mess - it was the the BBC's biggest moneyspinner by miles.

 

From my initial view it looked like the unions accepted quite a small deal there. Fair play,. They must be paid reasonably well already.
Back in the halcyon days of STC, if we were to work at the weekend it was double time both days. If we were boat loading [undersea fibre optic cable] it was double double! Now that's a good deal.
