The drummer from the dodgy eighties band The Cutting Crew was from Hull. His name's Martin Beedle . If memory serves me right his old man was Eddie Beedle who had the iron mongers near North Bridge. Henry Priestman who was the keyboard player in The Christians was from Hull as well. Alex Deakin the weatherman is from Ferriby.Hardly famous but it's the best I could think of .
Paul S. Denman (thats me) and Stuart Matthewman who play with Sade probably, without sounding too big headed, are pretty well know especially in America where we are touring right now. I was born on Hedon Rd and lived on Greatfield for years and worked at BA in Brough Stu got thrown out of Hymers and worked at Birdseye packin peas, probably around the same time as Deano.
