Febbos also sadly has a better grasp of English than many of the people I'm in contact with on a daily basis
Haha "THE article"? And yeah, I reckon that my Swedish is decent Even though is must look pretty crappy with google translate
It's great, for some reason it translates 'Rosenior' to 'Rose Nines', and there's something in there about Tom Cairney needing a hurricane.
Horton's Heros.. my first City team & I had that one on my bedroom wall.. (or near enough that season.. can you check the season?)
thanx.. sounds right as we moved to Hornsea in '85.. my poster was from "Match" magazine used to get it every week and read it on the 246 bus to Hull on the way to school..
Thats a bit of a trek to school everyday! I live in Tickton, it takes 40 mins to get to Hull on the bus from there, so must be an hour and a bit from Hornsea.
Perhaps Febbos may like to comment on these observations as my girlfriend holidays in Scandinavia at the moment and has sent me this. "Sweden is the best of all and Stockholm we loved. The people are extremely polite and effortlessly change from speaking Swedish to English,to French,to German without batting an eyelid. In the 4 days we were there we never saw a policeman on the street and the restaurants are superb. We picked up a boat to tour the local archipeligo and were told that around Stockholm there are more than 24,000 islands. They count in this the smallest islets and apparently they are rising from the water with climate change. We will now be returning at Christmas time and going right up North to catch the Aurora Borealis which is putting on a stunning show this year apparently. It really is a superb country."
Yeah, Swedes generally speak Swedish+English+Either Spanish, German or French (depending on which you choose when you start 5th grade). I reckon that most "of us" speaks pretty good English in general, but she must have been pretty lucky with the French/German-speakers I learnt Spanish, but I would struggle heavily if I would travel to Spain, I can tell you that much. And yeah, there's hardly any police officers walking on the streets. The rest is also true, but I reckon it's around 30000-35000 islands if we are going to be picky
