Yes if ever there was a more appropriate name in the history of 606 and not 606, I'm yet to see it.

We'll wait and see. I fully expect him to be back for the start of the season. There, I've put my heed on the block! Seriously it looked like an impact injury to me. For anyone who's played football, its unusual to damage your ankle ligaments via a tackle. Usually its because you "go over" on it for want of a better phrase. This can be when twisting or turning, or coming down from jumping, or in the case of most Sunday footballers, stepping in a hoof print left by a horse after it's rider decided the local playing fields were a racetrack. You may of course go over on it due to the initial impact but it looked to me like he'd end up with severe bruising. So I'm backing him to be back based on my flimsy football injury knowledge.

I once did my ankle ligaments and was due to miss a cup final. I spent some £270 on treatment at a sports injury clinic and made a miraculous recovery in just 3 weeks. We had been told to guarantee a start in the final we had to prove our fitness the week before in a mid week game. I had so much strapping on the ankle it couldn't move. I was in agony but got through without incident (apart from two assists in a 3-1 win). Come the final I played 60 minutes before going over on it again. So for me, he just needs to run it off. That's what our manager used to tell us. Of course we do all have very dodgy ankles and knees now, and we're all resigned to arthritis in old age.............

He's got it right like. Paid over 2 million a year to 'recuperate' then 'train' in France.

He's been in Newcastle for about 150 hours in total since he signed for you. He treats it like Community Service.

That is a pathetic effort. If you're gonna be a WUM, at least make an effort to be mildy funny or entertaining. The lack of effort in this post reminds me of Shola up front (bar his games against the unwashed). Now go and get in the bath and have a think about what you've done.

  13. What's funny, just listening to the legends, the mackem fan on there said that we've got no good, proven PL strikers...

After Gyan, how do they have? -

Wickham - A young, untested and typically expense English striker.

Ji Wong Dong - Another striker not proven even in a decent league.

    -

    We have -

Ba - 7 goals in 12 on a ****ty WHU side. I agree we shouldn't be ****ing over him yet, he needs to proven himself more, but he's at least shown he can score at this level, and he also came from a decent German side.

Best - 6 goals in 10 starts for us in the PL, unlucky not to have more. A powerful striker with good finishing ability and positional sense.

Ameobi and Lover - Not immense strikers, very average, but even though they're not that good, they can at least get the odd goal and earn some points, and can play at this level. Lover is also a team player and works hard. Ameobi is cack when starting, but i have to admit he isn't that bad coming off the bench as an impact player.

Being honest though HMT, I'd have Gyan over any of our strikers! I think he'll be immense for them this year after settling in last year. He is extremely talented and the kind of complete forward we could do with. I think Sunderland have more up top in their ranks. Not proven but Gyan is high quality, and Wickham looks a tremendous prospect.
