Bridcutt is set to return against his former club having missed the 1-1 draw with Fulham due to personal reasons. Striker Chris Wood (hamstring) remains sidelined, while centre-back Giuseppe Bellusci serves the second game of a two-match ban. That will mean that Antenucci will again join up with Doukara up front, shame Evans won't give Erwin a chance to prove himself as it is clear that Antenucci wants to return to Italy. Brighton will hope to have defenders Bruno (hamstring) and Gaetan Bong (thigh) back in contention. Otherwise, boss Chris Hughton has no new injury or suspension worries. I can see Leeds nicking this one 0-1
Evans expects Cook, Taylor and Mowatt to agree new deals with Leeds - on the strength of the team he plans to build. Agree? Bridcutt has also said he would like to stay, if the deal was right! Thoughts?
Hey'up Elland, Go easy on Antenucci, he has his wife and kids back in Italy and is probably missing them, just like any normal father would......
I'd keep Taylor and hopefully we get to keep Bridcut, I think Cook and Mowatt will eventually leave. While I like Evans, and have said in past the worm is turning on him, I don't think he'll be here for the long haul. Should results fail to improve, I think Cellino may keep him till end of season; he's on a rolling contract any way, isn't he?
Morning Lover, Has his wife gone back to Italy? A footballers career is a short one. Surely they have to take opportunities when and where they arrive. Last couple of games I've watched Leeds, Antenucci has looked very disinterested, as if he is just going through the motions.
Evans must have the biggest draw % of any manager at the moment and he can't seem to play attacking fast flowing football so if we only have a few shotsat goal and spend most time playing sideways and defending we will draw or lose. He needs to get more shots on target making us more likely to score and whilst we are attacking reducing the work our defenders are doing. Not rocket science but he talks a good game and I need to see action and results. Another **** season for us and even though we have some decent players we are tactically blank
Is Bridcutt that good? It would only make sense for us to keep him if : a) He's going to get better and better b) He's going to drastically improve our team c) Its not going to break the bank to land him
Morning Doc, we are desperately short of attacking options. We have 20 defenders and 3 strikers!!! If one or two of our strikers are down, we are f***ed
Morning all, at one stage earlier in the season I felt Antenucci was a better option than Wood, I was so very wrong. He might turn up tonight and put some effort in as the cameras are here, I wouldn't play him, what's the point playing players who aren't going to be here...
On Bridcutt I don't think he is that great, he is average can win a good ball but just as easily pass to the wrong player. What does Evans want for next season, same formation but better players? I can't see Wood, Dallas or Cook not playing, if we are sticking with 4-2-3-1 it just leaves Doukara's spot up for grabs.
Exactly Ristac, he clearly doesn't want to be here anymore and it's unfair on the other players who have to carry him. Also it's a bit disrespectful to the supporters who pay their money and want to see every player give 100%. Morning by the way..
Takes a big man to admit they are wrong! Always thought he was garbage but have a funny feeling he will get 4 tonight and we will nick it 5-2
Afternoon all. Never rated Antenucci from the times I've seen him and he'll be no loss when he goes, if he didn't have a fancy Italian name I doubt he'd make the squad, but probably should have sold in January given most say he not interested any longer. Think Bridcutt and Diagougara will be a decent defensive CM pair if we stay 4-2-3-1, but we need more pace and power in the attacking midfield and attack. As Ristac points out, we stay compact so we draw or lose by the odd goal but find it hard to score. Least I'll be at the pub watching and hoping we can squeak a win, need some enjoyment from another disappointing season
Just had a peep at your upcoming fixtures and with 3 of the next 4 games ( tough aways,) anything but a win @ home to Bolton and i think youll be in the bottom 4
It's ok.... We are progressing and the troops here are all happy. One certainty however. Our league position will be better than yours at the end of this season and next.
