Agreed. Their defence was brilliant - Firmino is great at making the right runs at the right time but he was caught offside quite a lot - they held their line to perfection.

Our attack is not that bad either. Firmino is more settled. Sturridge is quality when he is not injured. But the 3Ss who put fear in the hearts of defenders a few seasons ago, have not been adequately replaced. One is injured a lot of the time and two have been sold. Benteke is not good enough to even come on as sub, the other strikers hardly get a start. Our defence needs a huge revamp starting with the GK, and CBs. Sakho could be ok but the others are at the end of their careers. And what is obvious is that Henderson is no Gerrard. And we do miss SG!
City were brilliant today. Set up very compact, it was like we had no room in their half and then they had pace and ability when they attacked. They were the only team that looked like winning and to be honest should have won it in 90 minutes. I was just disappointed in some players performances today, Henderson and Sturridge in particular looked useless.
