KM apparently told fans "you're not helping" and was visabally angry at the protests.

Now she knows how we feel I guess. Be good to hear feedback from the protest.

    Oh, and the game.

I knew it was a matter of time before the fans get blamed.

When Woolworths went bust it was the customers fault, wasn't it?

Anyone see the Charlton fans who took the battle to Belgium and protested at the St Truuden game with a banner saying 'Roland and Katrien. Time to go'. Heroes for me. They were arrested but apparently later released without charge.
    Roland, do one!

Super - a poor protest at 5pm yesterday.

Not helped by seeing thousands of plastic fiver fans walking by oblivious

No more than 500 of us there, the usual songs. The "twist" was Rick Everitt with a loudhailer which didn't work FFS

Time is seeping away and numbers at the protests diminish by the week

Our fans really are a wally-ish and pathetic mob

I was embarrassed by the loud hailer thing that was cringeworthy in the extreme ,good to know that the vast majority of fans at the valley were pleased with what they saw as 3,000 reading and thousands of freeloaders £5 tourists made up. The majority of the crowd

There is a hard core of maybe 300-400 of us for the protests. It was quite noisy but we need more numbers, and I left after half an hour when Rick was in full cry with the megaphone.
Fair play to the 20 fans who went over to Belgium at their own expense to demonstrate at the St. Truiden game. They got ejected, despite the support from the Belgian fans, and the story has made it on to the BBC website. Respect.

It is the same 400-500 fans at the protests every week. I take my hat off to each and every one of them. A real mixture of young and old, all making their point that they refuse to see this Club destroyed. I have got nothing but contempt for the morons who "just want to see a game of football and don't care who owns the Club" plus the plastics- amazing how so many people love a cheap afternoon out, the tight fair-weather fan g1ts.

Between 1984-1992 we could only rely on 5,000 real supporters - we will be back to that again next season and beyond.

Interesting comments on CL from the CARD member at the top of Floyd Road yesterday giving our free programmes-

he said the majority of our fans greeted him with either a shrug of indifference, or a sarcastic comment

Only at Charlton do you get 25 points by February... and apathy.

thought there was closer to 1000 myself. the protest at the end of games needs more balls and organising. smoke bombs - good. needs more than that though to raise effect.

not a violent person at all, but it really needs to kick off. was half hoping someone had bought some bricks etc.

side thought - i wonder when the police will get fed up sending extra resources to charlton every week.

I still think thats partly attributable to CARDs arrogant existence and tactics themselves; But mostly due to the feeling that little can really be done to force Roland out.

SIG - the police won't mind in the least - Charlton have to pay the extra police costs.

Richard Murray can be in no doubt now about the depth of the fans contempt for him. Our CEO won't give a flying fart what we think, but Murray will be affected.

Too softly approach is not going to work. They've been doing it now for too long, and it's got.... ****'all! Protesting during the January transfer window, didn't do anything; during the Karel reign, he stayed a lot longer than necessary...

They are doing absolutely nothing other than getting media attention. That will soon wear away.

Afraid that's true - it's fast becoming a non story. Even fans aren't paying it much attention any more - but not sure it's so easy to rectify it. I think some damage has been done by protests like Pinocchio day.

The cry to not buy season tickets was already likely to occur. 3000 ST holders voting with their feet shows that already.

It was good to see CARD targeting Murray in their unofficial programme on Saturday- a few of the protest songs were aimed at Muzza too.

An utter pariah now. No way back for him.
