Pile of ****. Even the later rounds were pretty cagey.

Not a fan of the powderpuff divisions though.

Yes, those powderpuff divisions are such a bore.
Much better to watch those slow moving blobs hugging each other in the heavyweight division.

The powderpuffs are for boxing nerds and genuine pugilist fans, I find. The heavyweights will always be more appealing to the casual punter. 1 punch could bring about utter devastation, while the skinny midgets can be like gnats fizzing round each other.

Last night was as bad as Klit vs Fury, and I thought that would be the dullest thing I'd ever watch outside of a Newcastle game <laugh>

Who? vs Who? Are these two really big enough names to get away with a PPV event?

I must admit I didn't watch the fight last night as I was out, but, was a bit surprised today to read it was a bit of a damp squib,
Quigg having his jaw broken early on, probably didn't help matters.

Dull beyond belief. I thought it was tight but Frampton probably stole it early on, Quigg threw it away early on. I was struggling to give all those early round to Frampton, he didn't seem to be catching him much bar the punch in round 4 which broke his jaw. Clearly though the judges were just going off who was doing the more work regardless of whether they were landing. That process put Quigg miles behind wit a mountain to climb. I think he won the last 6 rounds 4-2. Quigg will regret not going to work earlier, he didn't look tired at all, like he'd hardly broken sweat. Whereas Frampton did look a bit gassed, despite him rallying in round 12. If Quigg had put it on him from say round 3 then it might have been a different result.

Hard to say though because it is then a different fight. The way he fought allowed Frampton to fight a certain way, which was very safe. If he had gone after him, Frampton probably has enough to change tack. I don't think either is in the top top end though.

I think Frampton is struggling with weight but he will find the division up a bit deeper. Rigondeaux may be a problem for him in current division though, awkward customer.

Frampton deserved to win because Quigg did nothing for the first five or six rounds.

    Rubbish fight though.

Huge let-down considering how long we had waited to see it happen.

Both far too defensive and cagey.

    Shame.

Still, we have Joshua vs Martin in April for the IBF World Heavyweight Championship Belt :emoticon-0146-punch
