Tbf if there's a big chip on the shoulder, thumping it is the last thing you should do. I'm not surprised he left
The thing was, it was a Polish chap that thumped him, I agree its wrong, but he rubbed up the wrong people
Clash of foreigners and their customary behaviours perhaps? You know in China it's considered an insult to w@nk on their food.
Maybe he meant Didsbury. At a guess he was a visiting student and was on the prowl for Manchester student tail which certainly used to be prevalent in Didsbury.
Correct. My mistake. Only went to Didsbury after uni. Fallowfield was the student area (I assume it still is). Didsbury has been described as the West Hampstead of Manchester- nice but full of ponces.
Good craic though. I lived in the ****hole that is Selly Oak, Birmingham for two years. Plenty there taking morning after pills like paracetamol.
Birmingham is one place that is a mystery to me. I've been there once in my life, for an FA Cup semi final at Villa Park. It doesn't get good press though!
The city centre is really no different to Leeds or Manchester. The suburbs are mostly complete ****e. It probably doesn't help the locals to not be miserable ****s when there are four universities full of kids from the Shires out every night waking them up at 4am when they have a 12 hour shift in a call centre to look forward to but, **** me they are a depressing bunch. The accent alone is enough to dislike the place. When Villa go down I'll laugh heartily.
I once went on holiday to a place called Kardamena on the Greek island of Kos. It was like Beirut during the really bad days but the worst thing about it was that the vast majority of tourists were from Birmingham. IQ87 would hate it there.
