Have you seen Origi take a penalty? I know he took them at Lille but he missed a few as well. Lucas is actually good from the spot. Lallana has taken some good penalties as well.
A CF who is paid to score goals should be able to kick a ball from 12 yards on target. If they aren't they shouldn't be starting up front during the game.
No need to go back to the semis. That's done and dusted as we went through. Why did we not even deserve to be in the final? Gutted but our pen takers were all on target so they were good saves by their GK.
Yeah, it;s the same Carragher who also said Benteke would be a very good player for us. Moreno is braindead but watch the goal again and there is one defender who plays Aguero onside. No amount of top level football experience can argue against that.
I'm always a fan of guys that put their hand up but your point is valid...his hand should be straight up...
phil's was awful, he's not a pen taker in a million years but i don't blame him. there''s always a winner and a loser in these situations, we were never good enough to win
Jesus jimmy, you are allowed to blame Moreno for things. He was in no mans land leaving Aguero free and then not going with the runner that he could see coming from a mile off.
That doesn't matter as he DID play. Not just that, his movement and versatility offers more than someone like Benteke.
That's what I would do but I guess taking that risk is part of being a manager. And there's no evidence that Milner would've scored anyway.
He is brain dead - I said that. But if we actually held the line, Aguero would be offside. Look at City today - they caught us offside around 8-9 times - they held a perfect line for most of the game. Surely you want to be proactive defensively and avoid the need for one on one defending in the first place.
a 60 year old wayne rooney offers more movement than benteke the only thing i approve of klopp so far is letting that waste of space rot on the bench, please now sell his arse and migs in summer
