We should have gone for Anchelotti with a 4 year contract starting from next year, he would have a great manager for us, has the experience, the title credentials, the man has won it all. Instead we opt for the same, the manager who keeps underachieving and letting us down.
Sorry to say this guys but yet again you failed to turn up for a big game, this has happened for too long now and you have to ask yourselves is Wenger the man for your club 2016? Are you happy just being the rags of the premier/ UCL? I was talking to a season ticket holder today who says it's time for him to go upstairs or elsewhere because the club has outgrown him. His legacy is safe but if he stays it will be tarnished, better to have loved than have lost!
Woeful today mate. As much as Wenger likes to talk about having the right mentality and fighting spirit. We saw absolutely **** all of that today.
Wenger only talks about "mental strength" after you've won. Says it for the players' benefit. It's like he's desperately trying to convince himself and the players, they have some.
If you do win the League (still possible to my eyes) you are going to have a tough climb off that high horse.
LOL @ people talking about our chances of winning the league. Our last chance saloon was today and we blew it. We are not in contention anymore, people need to accept this.
Wenger seems the only one on a high horse and at this moment you appear to have a much better chance of winning the league than we do.
tbh some of players playing didnt had chance to play in reserve and jumped straight to first team from u18 bcz even our reserve and u21 players are out injured
I think you've still got a great chance in spite of Wenger. Neither Spurs nor Leicester have any experience in this position and both are bound to drop plenty of points over the next ten games. Still plenty of time for Arsenal or City to do it. It's more a case of who ****s up least than who can win the vast majority of games left.
I know you all love to blame the manager, but what about the players? I think they turned up today, saw Uniteds team sheet and thought they were in for an easy day, they just found out they are not as good as they think they are.
I thought Wenger made a mistake playing Walcott at CF and he might reassess whether he thinks Mertesacker is behind Gabriel now. But you're right, the players were at fault today. They were lacklustre and bereft of ideas. Slow on the ball and dithering in possession. The goals we conceded were all preventable. There's nothing the manager could have done about those.
Wenger buys the players. Wenger picks the team. Wenger chooses the tactics. The onus is on Wenger, period.
Yep, our defence was no secret. I would have gone with two up top (Giroud and Welbeck), there is no way our centre backs could have held those two for 90 mins.
utter shambles today, even basic stuff like first touches were poor leading to overrunning the ball (walcott for first goal) 5-10 yard passes going astray, genuinely want to know if the players sneaked out on the piss last night as thats what it looked like. Pretty much every single player was like this, they need a serious bollocking from someone like steve bould for this.
"I think we were strong mentally" is a line he has trotted out for years. Arsenal have been as mentally weak as most relegation doomed sides since Fergie broke them at Pizza Gate.
Just watching MOTD2...I really hope you defend like that at the lane next week! No doubt you'll get you act together cos I can't believe you will be that generous to us!
You will raise your game...you have to. Imo you'll play 2 strikers to try and and get us defending deep. Wenger will treat us with respect...he did that with Leicester and got a result, and with Barca and for 70 mins held them...today he (and the players) looked like they theyexpected to win and then looked confused and clueless when United had the cheek not to roll over and die for them. I just can not believe we'll be lucky enough to get you playing so badly at whl next week
