Very similar to Lens, he scored a wonder goal a few months back, and has done nothing since. We seem to have had our share of this type of player attitude in recent years, it could be down to the very average squads they find themselves playing in or its a basic lack of application. In todays game attitude is as important as skill which should be a given at this level. Lets hope that both can come good in the next game or two, as we need matchwinners big time, you are right, there is no place for showboating in this league.

In which case you missed PVA's positioning for the goal. Ultimately, yet another goal conceded from a fullback position. How many points will it cost us this season? Will it cost us our league status? It's a very real possibility.

I almost made a comment about how Swansea lost yet again and are right in the **** as well as being widely tipped to go down...but then I didn't. Did I?

It shouldn't have to be, We've just had a transfer window slam shut. No excuse whatsoever not to have strengthened the two fullback births. All season it's cost us points and it's still happening.

Spot on, but watching Alonso during the week he looked no better than PVA to me, yet I would have loved us to sign him at the time, its not just numbers but quality and / or organisation that we need to save our season, its still do-able. My faith is in Big Sam but short term it looks tough and as you say the answer has to be found in the current squad due to very poor recruitment over the last few windows.:emoticon-0148-yes:

There is not much separating the bottom six imo and we have as good a chance as any of this pack, probably better than most. nil desperandum is my motto. <ok>

My faith is in BS too. If he had the funds to strengthen in those areas I'm sure he would have. It's no brainer. I'm looking at Short for this. He releases the budget. We're in as good a shot as staying up as a our rivals so game on.

Thinking about this ^ the club`s saved an absolute packet in wages recently.

    All of Johnsons.

    Half of Fletcher.
    Half of Graham.
The other half to be saved in the summer.

Pants - Harper (Next to nowt).

Dunno what the new lads are on but I can`t see it being anywhere near that lot.

I don't blame Mannone for their goal, it was down to PVA not putting the ball out. It was a good finish from the striker, he bent the ball round right into the corner, very harsh to blame Mannone, IMO. Saying that, I've a feeling we will see Pickford on Tuesday night because Sam looked really pissed off with Mannone's distribution, it was shocking!

Don't forget the Gomez, Mavrias, Bridcutt, Buckley and Coates wages we've freed.

I was trying to think of the others. <ok>

That`s a big lump out of the wage bill.
