A strange one today. Didn't really get going other than the odd 5 min spells here and there. I thought 0-0 was about fair but I guess Howe won't...Slightly strange refereeing again - let about 5 possible yellows go and then gave one for similar stuff that hadn't been given previously, and then became card happy. Like others, in the end relatively happy with another point towards 40 and at least they didn't take all 3. Some world-class saves for Gomes (again!) - perhaps Brazil should be taking another look at him :emoticon-0137-clapp.

Anyone else think the 1881 section was very, very quiet? I wonder if the nervousness of the crowd affected the players.

From where I was sitting at end of lower GT, I thought the rookery were in good voice today ( seeing as it was cold and a crap game ) ...just think that the GTS is like being in a bloody morgue . Also shame on all those supporters who leave early ..a disgrace ...disrespectful to team and a bloody nuisance when trying to watch the game . Thankfully in the Rookery for next game .
....And why are there still so many empty seats when game is meant to be a sell out ? ..if season ticket holders can't be bothered to turn up , give them to someone else . If it's the club complimentary tickets which are not being used this is also equally wrong / daft .

Agree with others ...Gomes easily MOM and it will be an injustice if he does not receive player of the year ...An excellent keeper and great personality .
Really like Amrabat ...Parades is not a defender at this level , would like to see him play as a winger .
If we are to thrive in the prem next year , we need at least 2 quality, experienced forwards in their prime .
Personally , I think if anybody offers something in the region of £30 million for Igahlo we should bite their hand off . Deeney has been and is a great servant of the club , but with the mega bucks available in the prem there must be potential signings to give our forwards competition .
Would be delighted if both players stay next year , but we need more options in attack ..
I'm hoping we play with more attacking intent next season .
As an aside ... I have been to 9 games at the Vic this season and only seen one goal conceded .
    Results 0.0 , 0.0 , 1.0 , 2.0 , 2.0 , 1.0 , 2.1 , 1.0 , 0.0 .. 6 wins , 3 draws

As has been said above, a lot of huff and puff and a game ruined by very poor officials. I rather like Amrabat, he certainly is strong and puts a shift in. Ighalo looks very disinterested and needs a good kick up the jacksy.
I thought the 1881 was quiet today and a lot of the singing was started in the old school Rookery.
Still another point bagged, onwards and upwards and a mid week game at Old Trafford to look forward to.

The empty seats are a big frustration to me, as I'm not going to be able to see a home game this season and I would quite happily get on a plane from here to Gatwick then get the train up. I'm going to OT on Wednesday, flying out Wednesday morning and back Thursday afternoon.

Eddie Howe always so hard done by. His post-match quote on MOTD: "I thought it was a penalty. It was quite clear. Disappointed it hasn't been given". But as the replays showed, it wasn't a penalty, was it Eddie? So how could it have been "quite clear"? Always thinks the whole world is against him and his team.

cannot stand him, cannot stand his club. Flores is a breath of fresh air when it comes to managers this season. Despite being so young, Howes is defiantly old school.

You can't blame him for calling it, last season he was awarded a hell of a lot dodgier penalties than that one! <ok>

Just re-watched the wrong sending off game down there from a few seasons ago. The dive for the second penalty is outrageous.

Anyone got any links for some decent highlights?
I'm abroad at the moment and can't find any reasonable ones.
    Thanks

I'm convinced that simulation forms a large part of their training!

Apparently , there was a bit of a punch up in the Rookery yesterday . "Old coggers " ( I'm assuming 45 plus , rather than our well known militant wing of cloth capped 80 year old thugs ) v younger supporters ...There were at times , 2 separate singing groups in the rookery on Saturday . Is there a rival ageing rump of pre 1881 singers within the rookery ?

Yeah, my mate was in the bar in The Rookery and said a lad came down with blood all over his face, but no idea what occurred. As I wrote above, the 1881 section has been quiet recently and the old school section in the centre of The Rookery have started the singing off. No idea if this is turf war though - probably just a bit of handbags

Exactly and Howe refused to discuss the 2nd Pen in the post-match interview - that is why I dislike him.

I blood hope so . Getting 1881 up and running must have been so hard . It now rocks ,(sometimes)I allway try and book tickets as close to them, Even if i have to sit down some times i can still make noise to help

Maybe this is a bit naive, but with the current Ake/Holebas conundrum that QSF has, is there no way he could play both, one on the 'wrong' side, if they're both performing better than Paredes and Nyom? Hasn't there been good/great left/right backs playing with their 'wrong' foot on the past?
