    It's a choice of intelligence but incredibly slow reaction from Mertesacker or erratic speed from Gabriel. The former seems like the more logical option but as you stated, he truly has regressed these past few seasons.

    Same thing with our goalie. Until Cech, Lehmann was the last world class keeper we had. It took us nearly 10 years to replace him. We still haven't found a similar leader/player in Viera's mold. We still haven't replaced Henry/Van Persie with a world class striker.

    We just don't do urgency do we?

    We need to be taking quick throws, switching play, getting the ball moving as quickly as possible.

    Also Varela has been on a yellow since the 9th minute but Sanchez has barely tested him! He should be taking him on, forcing errors, making him uncomfortable.
