Talking to Ian he actually thinks the way to go is to get some corporate sponsorship from someone like Red Bull then get her over to the States. I do hear what he's saying there. Although it's a MASSIVE comedown today, to be honest in some ways it's good to be leaving it on a real high. We'd have loved to carry on, but the guys (and Fable) all have jobs etc so it's not just the expenditure of taking the show out on the road, it's all the money they're having to give up from taking days and days off work. Until we get some serious backing, or a mad rich sugar daddy, it's going to be a bit like that sadly. We worked out for the Cult shows it probably costs us £500 per gig and that's just not sustainable unless you're minted (which we're anything but!)
Just finished watching "Interstellar". I hate it when I'm irrational, so I'm not happy with myself for wasting over two and a half hours of my life watching a film I didn't enjoy just because so many people rated it so highly that I was expecting it to improve. What a load of dross. I should have given it up at the moment I realised it was tripe of the first order (about 30 minutes in). Vin
Very similar from me about interstellar, I'd read and heard it was great so I struggled to get right through to the end where I hoped a: it will get good b: might try and explain just what the hell the film makers were doing when they foisted this garbage on the world or c: it will end. Thankfully c: came along
So glad she had a decent crowd at Brixton. She did great at Bristol, but I was conscious that when she went on there weren't that many in. These few gigs were a step up for her, which she seems to have taken in her stride, and as I said the other night, she will have won many new friends in the process. Congratulations, Laces, she's practically there now, just a matter of time mate.
Dreadfully slow, appallingly acted, clichéd script, comic book storyline. Apart from that, it was great. And the worst thing, the most appalling thing I can ever say about a film, I didn't care at all about the fate of anyone in it. Vin
