Glad we dropped Giroud. Time to give Wellback a chance.

    De Gea starts :(

But they don't have a strong bench at all and they have some youth players starting.

Welbeck starts up top which is interesting, we should have quite a lot of movement and swapping of positions along our front line with Walcott, Sanchez and Welbeck able to play in any of the three positions.

de Gea didn't really do much to help them the last time they played at the Emirates.

Don't expect a 3-0 drubbing today (on our part). Gonna be a tight game.. 2-1 or 2-2 <whistle>

Nope, but normally he keeps them in games they should be losing and they will feel far more confident with him in goal than there back up. The psychological effect of not having him and having short options in defense could have made them really nervy.

There was a point earlier in the Season when we had 11 first team players injured and our squad was not nearly as weak as Uniteds looks with 12 out.

It shows we clearly have the better straight in depth.

Looking at both sides, there are no excuses for us to not win this game.

And I still don't expect us to win...

Looking at there defense and offense you'd think if we can win the midfield battle we should dominate the game.

Really happy with the selection. Wenger has made some big calls. Welbeck/Walcott vs Blind/Carrick will be interesting.

Good to see Welbeck starting. Also with Walcott, we should be able to put them on the back foot <ok>

With our front three I can see Ozil making some great passes in behind the Utd defense today. All three are mobile and will change positions regularly and with the make shift defense Utd have you'd expect them to be getting pulled all over the place.

If we don't win, bye bye league, it shows we aren't strong or consistent enough to get it done, we have dropped all the points you can afford to drop in the last 2 months, dropping points in around 8 games, there's really no margins for errors left, today is must win, anything else, and well, as I said, bye bye league title.

Oh and Ozil is starting - so much for the old welshmans Twitter rumours! Damn fear mongering!

So happy Giroud has been dropped. His place should be earned on merit. Dat Guy to score a brace, you'll see.
