This fight is ****. It's more akin to country dancing. Hope it improves, surely the objective of a boxing match is to throw punches on the odd occasion.
Rubbish fight and result. The first 6 rounds should have been discounted as there was nothing in the first 6 rounds and Quigg smashed the last 6 rounds.
Bag of turd Hoe could you score most of that. Just came down to the one moving the most for half of it.
I honestly can't see how that wasn't a draw or a Quigg win. The start was **** but the first 6 rounds were split - no clean shots. Last 6 rounds I'd have given 4 or 5 to Quigg.
Gutted. Quigg threw that away. If he'd had come out like a truck in round 1 he would've smashed him all night.
So is Eddie Hearn. My daughter threw a better punch tonight when she hit me for teasing her than those two threw. The ref should have told em to get on with it after two rounds. glad i watched it on a free stream.
Quigg won his rounds, frampton edged his by reason of his arm moving more. But you rarely get 10 - 8 without a serious difference so it just came down to scoring vagaries. That said, Quiggs corner knew how it was being seen and it's easy to complain afterwards.
Remember you posting about your grandson starting a career in the boxing game. How is he progressing?
James had to give it away after a shoulder operation. Had 3 fights, W1, L1 and D1. He still does sparring though with both Tommy Coyle and Luke Campbell as he gives them a hard time (which is what they want) and is also first choice sparring partner for the current British middleweight champion (who's name I forget). They are all often seen together at piss-ups and I have posted some photo's on these boards. He is mostly far too busy with his Dad and other Brother in their business ACAS Constructions where they have established a very successful business with high recommendations from their customers. He also spends some spare time at St Pauls Boxing Club together with his Dad. P.S. Just got this on Facebook from my eldest son: "Luke's asking £250:00 for ringside for his next fight our kid (James' Dad), it's just a fight not a title or even top of the bill. If me and you went, put on digs, fuel, spending money, it'll be touching a grand. We want to support our local lads but **** me ! ....
It's actually £100 ringside and £250 for VIP, it's also nothing to do with Luke, he's just on the undercard, they're Kell Brooks prices.
