    maybe,

spurs will finish top 4 and strengthen, utd have the funds to throw at it if they dont finish top 4, chelsea wont be as ****e as they was this season, same as us, so they will do well to improve and either of arsenal and city will stregthen as well, esp if a certian manager coming can atarct some proper talent for them.

be tough to improve on where they are at to be honest, and i havent factored leicester, who if they win the prem can go places as well.also west ham getting the stadium and doing well currently.

Yep, we could have about 9 or 10 clubs with a realistic chance of top 4 next season

    <laugh> unlucky @Tobes

I don't think Moshiri's mate is going to be throwing his millions into part of a 49.9% share

Best case scenario you get a 0% loan for stadium development

Kenwright still holding you back <ok>

You're clueless in these matters pal.

There'll be a reason for the 49.9% stake - most likely a clause in the securitised loan that prohibits the sale of the club until it's either underwritten by the new man or settled. A full equity buyout is almost certain to happen over time.

However - even in the interim - thereality is - even with 49.9% he's in full control, as the board (whoever remains) can't out vote him, as collectively they only owned 67% to start with.

Sorry to be the bearer of this news, your bitterness was exposed here btw.

    Yeah right there's definitely a #legit reason why it's only 49.9%

I'm sure he'll be happy to throw hundreds of millions of pounds at the club knowing 50.1% of all of it goes straight into someone else's pocket <laugh>

  10. Well, he isn't is he. Irrelevant of who owns what, they're is still 50.1% of shares he doesn't have and therefore he doesn't have full control.

Good job rich people famously don't care about power and are happy to give 50.1% of their money away which is why they gladly pay their taxes too isn't it?

    <doh>

    He is.

As the board only owned 67% they've sold (initially) 49.9%. The remaining 33% is owned by Grantchester - 8% - with the remainder being owned by small shareholders - a handful each. Collectively they have no power of veto, as they're not in a position to have an influence on the decision making of the club.

So any board decisions will be made by the new effective owner.

As previously explained I fully expect a full equity buyout over time. Kenwright only owned 24% and effectively did the same for 15 years.

What a bizarre world you live in

You do realise that many "rich people" buy 10, 15 or 20% of company's don't you, there is a very rich dude at Arsenal who owns less than 49.9%, I wonder why he was happy to give 50.1% of his money away ?

Yeah and Arsenal are famous for owner investment and reasonable prices for fans <ok>

  17. You're completely missing the point Tobes. If the new guy has a 49.9% stake, how can he possibly have full control?

If he had 50.1% then yes, he'd have full control. But 49.9% doesn't no matter who owns what.

He may well buy more to take full control but 49.9% means he could (theoretically) be out voted

Yep they have to do it very gradually to avoid Moshiri's accounts being investigated too closely <ok>

Sneak him in quietly past the PL approval process

In the meantime how much do you expect he will put into the club while 50.1% of all his investments are charitable donations to the other shareholders?

You really haven't got a clue mate.

The 50.1% don't get to have a collective vote on any decision making - as they don't have a collective voice on the board.

Therefore the new owner can do as he likes.

No-one in the history of the club has ever held this level of equity.
