Some promisingg play Paredes at times Amrabat showed more potnential Gomes MOM for me... Ighalo missed some good chances But one more point to safety
Nothing I heard sounded convincing at all today. Gomes mom both on merit and in absentia of competition.
Jon Marks says strong on the ball... and improving.. plus a couple of good crosses.... one Ighalo should have scored from.... time will tell
He needs time to adjust to the higher pace of the English game. The same could be said for Suarez. With a pre-season under their wings I am sure they will both come good. I always get the feeling that Paredes is a disaster waiting to happen. I have doubts he will be with us next season. Deeney and Ighalo were not on the same wavelength today. Capoue had an off-day to put it lightly. On the positive side, Ake looked very assured and Gomes was a safe pair of hands. All in all QSF still has a lot of work to do. Far to many passes went astray.
Patchy game and we never looked comfortable despite a good start really against a side who closed us down and managed the game. In the end it was just as well Gomes was on form again! No lack of effort but the 433 didn't really work and we lost a bit in midfield.
Just proves we all see things differently. I thought Amrabat was excellent. Strong and never stopped running. Put a real shift in. My on pitch man of the match. Bournemouth don't seem to be able to stop cheating, and don't get me started on the fuggin ref
I haven't seen it so can't comment personally, but on BBC Final score, they all thought Bournemouth should have had a penalty for handball as the defender's hand was raised. I remember thinking at the time how satisfying karma can feel!
Back in from game. Thought it was a poor advert for an EPL game decent leval Championship standard. Gomes again saves the day though Ighalo's headed miss was a bad one as it was a peach of a floated cross and he had all the time in the world to glance it pass a stranded keeper. Very much a huff and puff performance and in honesty not much between the two teams. Wrong end of ground to comment on the "penalty shout" for Bournemouth but thought referee was weak in allowing them some very synical fouls without booking more of their players and Ritchie should have been booked for disent. Glad for our start to the season even more now and another point onto the board today being the best bit.
Wish we can play like that and be in 10th every week. Must do better but will happily take the point and position.
I think he will be happy with a clean sheet but have to say they got at our defence a few times and for once we didn't look like scoring too often which will worry him with tougher tests to come. It was a bit like the 0-0 draws we had at the start of the season in a way.. Capoue was disappointing which didn't help meaning we lacked a threat from midfield as the rest are quite defensive (Watson was very good though) As I say there was no lack of effort - just quality and Bournemouth made it very tricky closing us quickly which not many Premier league teams do.. We haven't got a great record against them anyway which isn't ideal if we want to be "rivals"! The incident with their injured player was naughty - just think if a top team/team managed by a foreigner had done that! I suppose Behrami went down easily a bit later but overall there did seem to be a lot of niggle in the game. Doubt GT who was watching thought much of it...and nice to see Luther.
