Most people are either on their way home from work at 6pm or have just got in and are either preparing or eating their evening meal.

    Is right.

TV advertising space is classed as 'prime time' for a ****ing reason

I loved the 'logic' that less people watch at 6 because the programmes are ****e, as opposed to the schedulers putting their best offerings on during the peak viewing times <laugh>

The most viewed programme from Feb 8th to Feb 14th was Call the Midwife (Sunday, 8pm) with 9.62m viewers which makes sense because most people are home relaxing on Sunday night. But when you look at the viewing figures for the 6 o clock news its been watched by over 5million people each day. So its obvious there's a huge share of the potential audience home at that time.

I agree that a huge chunk of people are generally doing other things at around 6pm but they do stuff because they know there is nothing on that they are interested in, too. People would alter their routine if Coronation Street was at 6pm, for example.

Nice swerving of highlighting the rest of your sentence....which stated that the reason the TV audiences aren't at their peak at 6 pm is down to the ****e programmes <laugh>

He was persuaded to part with his £200m when he realised the club owns the Supper bar chippy on Goodison Road.

He's a sucker for curry and chips apparently

Nobody cares about your ****ty little 9-10pm fact, its irrelevant because football is at least 90 minutes long (in case you hadn't noticed, I know Everton fans are used to leaving games after 60 minutes). There's a difference between when the # of viewers peaks and the peak time hours.

The funny thing is I'm not even bothered about the kick off time, I think it should be moved. I just don't think we should be in the habit of catering for the people who sit at home, because realistically a Friday 8pm kick off is ideal for people at home but for people who work its pretty ****ing terrible to have to go down to Exeter from Liverpool for a Friday night kick off.
