I didn't realise that Netflix UK is different to Netflix US. At Christmas they advertised they were showing Bad Santa which we hadn't seen, but it wasn't on over here only over there <doh> We had to download it...<whistle>

The thing is the old tv rules apply.

Each country has licenses for each show so there's no assurance at all that a station will even bother covering enough regions as the work involved is apparently huge.

Eg Does Netflix do europe which is 30 countries or does it do 3 different big markets like UK france Germany. .. or does it cover usa....

I think the eu were going to do a since European wide license for this but probably have not yet.

It is crazy a site can show you what it had then turn round and say... ah sorry actually no you can't see this. .

    It's false advertising imo

I thought I had mentioned developing the relationships? That the work in the community should be very local so the people disruptive kids might target get to know them as people and vice versa rather than "the old bag that shouts at us" or the "hoody hooligans that hang outside my house" etc..

The bonus of this is that the parental void gets filled at least partially by the community.

We played as kids in the car park..there were a rowdier version after us when we were about 17..we went out and joined them for the kick about each week because the neighbours knew us, trusted us and so when they saw us didn't automatically assume the young kids were up to no good. Didn't need special training, or grants...just a bit of effort.

Not saying that's the answer but it's an example of where something cost free can be done quite simply.

As you say it eventually needs will and money and yes..nothing can replace specialists for kids that really need help. Our youth services are being cut horribly at the moment and without the paid staff to organise everything in the past office the volunteers drift away because it turns into chaos.

I currently a have a staff member in my finance office because the money disappeared for her real job as a youth worker....sounds like correct priorities for a education authority eh????

True but people were signing up based on their deliberate apathy towards the loop hole...by cutting it they have changed the reason people sign up..as you say they will lose customers to piracy because Sky (the main people putting pressure on Netflix to take action) have so overpriced their packages no one will switch to them.

They have 190 countries with each having different levels of content because of the old licences.

As I say it is apparently sky that isn't playing ball with the streaming negotiations because they are convinced they can still push the others out of the market before they switch their services from satellite to broadband streaming...

The one of them on tour? Was bit disappointed, thought they were going to be doing live pranks but they were just talking about it really.

First time I saw it a few years ago, it was actually an English version with Paul McCaffrey, Joel Dommett, Marek LArwood & Roisin Conaty. Was only when I was searching for clips on youtube of them, I saw the American version and watched tonnes of clips on youtube about them before a few months later seeing them on comedy central.

    Since then been hooked.

Yeah the American version is much better.

They are actually 4 mates that grew up and known each other for 20 odd years so the pranks are better as they know each other and it feels much more real.

Caught up a bit last night BCS was brilliant loved it, could then out to be one of my fav TV shores ever at this rate.
X Files EP 2 still good interesting story so far.

Gotham still good but a little slow story wise.

Watching Maze Runner The Scorch Trials tonight for the little ones birthday accompanied by a Dominos.

Jo is the best imo. He takes no prisoners and has balls. Murr always gets a rough deal. I think they deliberately give him the worst dares! All 4 are brilliant though <ok>

They all have different personalities but they just work so well together and think that's because they aren't 4 random people thrown together but 4 mates.

Best one has to be where Joe made them all get tattoos <laugh>
