You are aware that we live in a time that has the advantages of multi-media, aren't you, Trebs? In former times, I would often turn the volume down on the TV and watch it along with the radio commentary. You can do that on a computer, too. You want to try getting into this technology lark, Trebs, it's amazing, mate!
I'll stick to going to games and watching them ta very much. Will leave the live texts and your "multi media" mute system to you, fella
I used to go to a lot of games. These days, what with one thing and another, I don't get the chance. Are you saying that only those who currently go to football matches on a regular basis should be entitled to voice an opinion on this forum? That would wipe out most of us. And if so, why? Most of the people who sat around me at the matches I used to attend were as thick as pig ****. They used to learn the chants so that they could string two words together. I can guarantee you that their insights into the game would be fairly limited, Trebs, even if they could write.
Done. I'd urge everyone to do this. Not that many people will actually bother to do it, so if everyone that does says it's crap, then they might pay attention.
Do you want me to give you time to think about what you've just written and allow you time to retract it, before I "own" you?
You admitted the other night you were watching a different game when Spurs were playing. The amount of comments you make about Arsenal on here suggest Spurs are a secondary interest too. You even admitted that the season tickets you held had nothing to do with Spurs either.
Not saying that at all HIAG (although if I did, I wouldnt be wrong). No, I'm simply saying that I would prefer to watch games than put on live text commentary. I also don't buy your multi-media rebuttle. You stated, and I quote... "I always follow the BBC Football Live commentary on match days." Now explain to me why anyone would have BBC matchday live text commentary going IF they were watching the game in any way shape or form? Seeing as you always have them on on matchdays, I can naturally only conclude you never watch the matches. Hold on... UNLESS you're claiming that you cant figure out what's going on in a game on your own?
I've long criticised the BBC. It has turned into red top journalism. The likes of Phil MnNumpty and the 1700000 stories in which they mentioned Suarez. Their twitter feed is just as bad. They tweet like the lad bible. The new layout is crap - but one thing that annoys me is the amount of typos in their work and how far behind the match and cricket updates are from real time. Its just poor quality. We pay for that service yet they show next to no football on TV despite a large proportion of the country liking football. Yet we get ****e like Strictly come ice skating and the voice. Their news service is highly political which I refuse to watch/listen to. Along with harbouring *****philes they're altogether an unpleasant organisation operating in a relic of a system which needs to be stopped. I also concur about the woman's sport element. Quite often they will put things like 'like England vs South Africa' and you click on it and its woman's cricket. They trick you to click on as if to prove some point about equality. I'll make the decision what I want to watch thank you very much politically incorrect BBC.
