Was just thinking earlier imagine the excitement of the new boys coming up to the derby, so early in the season, they know if they have a good game and help us beat the mackems, or even score. we will worship them as heros!

I reckon the new boys will be beyond fired up for this game, going to be a good one! hopefully Cabaye will show us what we already think and have a gem on our hands. Mehdi to come off the bench and win it 2-1 :)

An Ameobi hat trick (split between the two Ameobi's) and a combination of tiote and a wall of noise keeps the mackems out. A comfotable 3 - 0

They need to Gel first, most of the first teamers are out in Holland or injured.

I'd be worried but seeing as Sunderland are hopeless themselves I'm not.

I'm not being negative, all I am saying is you can't just put new signings straight into the team without them playing with eachother on a consistent basis. It will be the same for Sunderland and every other team.

To be fair to the new players; they'll have no idea how much this derby means to us.

They'll know that Sunderland are rivals but they'll know next to nothing the passions felt by both sets of supporters.

The Derby is anyone's to win. It's far too early in the season and both squads have plenty of new additions so I'm gonna reserve my judgement til after the game.
