But when one follows the other and derails thread after thread it's down to the Mod to protect every bodies forum experience. It happens often and nowt ever happens, then follows the countless people who aren't involve posting how sick they are of the arguing. If argument are spilling onto other threads. It's alright saying Gordon put him on ignore, but everybody else still has to sieve through the abuse across multiple threads. You do know ignore only makes the posts disappear on that posters screen. Bart can continue to follow him about and abuse him and everybody else has to read it. My point is when somebody is spilling it everywhere, the Ignore function is not an adequate way to deal with it because the poster is disturbing everybody.
Bri, we aren't here to protect people. We're not school masters, morality mullahs or courtesy cops. If people get upset being called names this probably isn't the place for them.
You're here to mediate and ensure consistency by the very definition. To do that you've got to find the source of the problem and follow it to the point it blew up. If one poster, Bart in this instance, is taking it across multiple threads it's only him making your job harder. If you can't be arsed that's your bag, perhaps it's an aspect you should have considered before taking the job but Gordon getting it in the neck is bang out of order and just show mods who can't be arsed solving problems properly. I hate name calling on here it drives me fecking mad. Id rather meet up with the person and get the issues sorted there and then. The internet gives every man and woman of all shapes and sizes the chance to have a moment of toughness, something theyve probably never had in a situation where the person their verbally assaulting is stood directly infront of them. Most of them do this when being locked up in their safe little house miles away from their target whilst their lasses are in another room dildoing themselves over some other bloke who does have balls!
