Guild of Stags. They are kind of big in Holland. Probably all the pot heads...

It's weird this kind of thing. I know a band called the Loose Kites who are huge in Greece for some reason.

Anyone Doors flashing is all right by me! Just noticed that they're in Manchester tonight, but can't make it as I'm already booked to go with one of my sons to see an Oasis tribute band. Supposed to be the dogs. People get very snotty about tribute bands, but I reckon if I get along to The Liverpool Phil to see a bit of Mozart it's unlikely to be conducted by old Wolfie himself. Saw a quite brilliant Pink Floyd tribute band called Brit Floyd recently. They were better than Floyd! And while I'm mentioning tributes, Doors fans could do worse than see Doors Alive.

Fable sounds interesting. Definitely not enough women playing rock music (all bloody Adele!).

Amen to that brother! If you think back there's always been a small selection of women who can prove that they rock out as good as, if not better then the dudes, To name a few Pat Benatar, Stevie Knicks, Siouxsie Sioux, Skin, Alison Goldfrapp, Kelli Dayton and Beth Gibbons. They bring a different vibe to music and it's key to keeping Rock fresh.

I saw Joan Jett at the Apollo in Manchester in 1982 . Still get warm feelings thinking about it...

I was told a story by a friends mum, in the 60s Tony Blackburn visited Sholing girls school, he didnt want to personally met any girls and the reason he gave was there are too many little sluts around ( or something like that) and he was hated for it,
Was he safeguarding himself as he knew what could possibly happen?

Texas has also passed a law allowing students to carry concealed handguns in universities. Seemingly, it's "critical" to self-defence and upholding constitutional rights. Just what college campuses need, more people carrying guns...

Mark Kermode's Film of the Year, Spotlight. Just seen it. Really brilliant. A true story based on a team of investigative reporters in Boston, USA who uncover the systematised abuse of children by the Catholic Church in the Boston area. If you haven't heard about the true story it's because it broke only a couple of months after 9/11.

Quite topical when you think about it. DTLW should enjoy it. Journalists doing superb investigative work. Best film I've seen in a long time - yes better than The Revenant, if for different reasons. Should get the Best Picture Oscar, in my opinion.
