the judge has started summing up.

Not long now and the jury will pass judgement, then we can all move along including the defendant who will be moving along on to a custodial sentence, I hope.

 

The judge's summing-up doesn't look good for Johnson, all his lying has been emphasised as have his texts showing he wanted to keep meeting the lass.

 

However, the jury are warned that just because Johnson is a liar, it doesn’t make him guilty.
“The defendant may tell lies for a number of reasons other than guilt, the defendant may tell lies in panic or to hide other behaviours which are not criminal.”
