Nah, until there is an official change in tv scheduled matches they have to take it onthe chin like other clubs, they shouldnt be seen to be getting any say in a match organised and sanctioned by Uefa.

I ain't saying the early ko time is right but only this week many of our fans had to miss a days work or leave work early to attend the early kick off, early kick off's happen most weeks in the league with fans including theirs having to set off at daybreak and travel the length and breadth of the country, they don't moan then do they?
If Uefa and the tv companies give in to the mancs they'll have to do the same for other clubs that object to the early k.o time for their own games.

Maybe next season eh, if they actually qualify for Europe.<whistle>

Behave. A 6 pm KO time for this game doesn't suit anyone.

Both sides fans, the TV audience, and thus the advertisers and sponsors of the competition.

    Bitter ****er

**** off, bend the rules to suit one club.<laugh>

never heard anything from you before last Thursday on the issue, they should follow the rules of the comp just like the other clubs in it.

Like I said, the early kick off times are a pain just like having to play on Sundays because of the Thursday games but unless the 6pm games are totally knocked in the head for good across the board the schedule for this game should stand.

The EL seldom throws up a game that is of such domestic interest.

It's therefore just plain daft to have it at a time when half the nation won't get to see it.

    It's called common sense mate.

Oh and it'd suit both clubs and their supporters btw.

So like BT want a full evening of English club's EL games that they've paid for and won't agree to both games kicking off at the same time, Spurs fans have the luxury of an 8o'clock kick off and miss travelling through the London rush hour.
But BT and Spurs should be told "sorry you'll have to kick off at 6pm whether you like it or not"

Can't see it getting moved unless all parties including both clubs in the Spurs tie agree.

    Agree with Tobes here.
This tie is gonna get the highest TV ratings in EL history, more dare I say, than the CL final, especially if (as is likely) the CL final doesn't feature a PL club.

So you know for a fact that BT wouldn't want the biggest game at the peak viewing time? Yeah right oh <doh>

Why would Spurs have to move theirs like? They could kick off at the same time and be on BT1 and 2

BT see the Spurs tie as the biggest game of the round, mainly because they are playing the favourites for the tournament.
As such that game is their main game of the evening.

They could ask for the early kick off at Anfield and the late at OT which might get a more favourable response, but the other tie would then have to reverse their kick off times, would they agree.

So BT will show both games at the same time and show cartoons instead at 8 o'clock that night instead?

They dictate who's on and at what time, so its a wait and see jobby.

And you know this how? Work in higher echelons of BT Sport do you mate?

The United game would have a much bigger audience, as it's a domestic battle. BT will want the biggest audience - it's that simple

I think they need to do away with these 4pm/6pm kick off times in the Europa. They are making people even less enthusiastic about participating in the thing.

It does make sense to put the kick off time back to 8pm but the point that's being made is that the 6pm kick off against Augsburg was equally inconvenient for Liverpool last Thursday but I don't remember anyone complaining about it at that point. Then when it happens to Man Utd they start making complaints and demanding the competition to cater to them.

But I am pretty sure the schedule for each match is pre set before the draws are made <doh>
Now its been made, they will likely change it.

Why do you think the schedule is up literally seconds after the draw finishes?

And you of course know how the BT bosses think or should think.<laugh>

ffs Tobes they've chosen their match times for both games, why(according to prospective audiences)have they chosen the 2nd leg at OT as a 6 o'clock ko?

Because they prioritised the Spurs game perhaps?
