Hardly the time or place to be blooding out of touch players, he seemed to surrender quite a bit of possession.

Interesting that Brucey brings Powell in and labels him a striker, albeit he's a typical no. 10 playing behind a front striker, last night he did everything other than play the role? Thought he did okay when he came on, personally I would have brought Maloney on and asked him to play as he did at Brizzle away

I did.. Did you see him playing on the left when he covered for Robertson? Or he received the ball out wide and cut in? He started out left as reported by Rick, my point is he started there and ended up central so not sure your point. Again.

    And stop with the ffs.

This whole thing about our vocal support (or the lack of it) at our home games gets regurgitated every season. I have strong views on this as it's become obvious now that unless we score firsts these days, huge parts of our home crowd some become bored and, despite some pockets of noise, many eventually become inpatient and go silent because that's how the perceive footballing Hull. The crazy thing is though, you slag or question the team off online and all hell breaks loose. My guess is many who once attended in the days when vocal noise was everything, obviously still support the club now on the internet due to age or cost, whilst many who can afford it don't fully don't understand there is more to supporting City than putting a scarf on and just turning up.

All we did second half was push our wide men narrower, giving more room for Robertson and Dave. Powell's introduction just took Wednesday by suprise, Brucie needs to change it up at home a bit, we are strong at the back and teams know how we are going to play, they let us pass it round the back, put a striker on Dawson as he can pass a football and they let Davies fumble about with it. Then it gets passed out wide and our wingers a culdsacked into a corner. Snodgrass is next to useless on the right touchline, he needs to be narrower so he doesn't run out of pitch.

When Powell came on it was more fluid, the movement was better, and we deserved to win the game. But we move. How well is Dave playing though, since Xmas. If he could cross he would be a England full back in the making.

I wouldn't of liked Maguire playing last night against Foresteri, but we do miss him bringing the ball out an all.

    Well stop talking bollocks then!

I was at the game last night and when he came on, he moved left and Clucas went into the middle. After about 30 seconds, they swapped back. Powell just had a free role, he ran down the right as well, but he wasn't playing on the right. Or at left back. Or Up front.

How the **** am I talking bollocks when as you just said he moved left and Clucas went central. Try actually reading my post. I said it was a poor move and that Powell ended up more central anyway.

Yeah for a minute or so, but he wasn't playing on the left the whole time. Generally speaking, standing in a position for 60 seconds doesn't mean you are playing there for the whole game.

I really can't be assed with this.

He was on the left for several moves, and he only looked effective when he cut into the middle of the pitch. He picked the ball up a left and drifted inside because that's where he was more naturally suited. Regardless of where he ended up, Bruce sent him on with the intention of playing on the left which baffled me. Buckingham and Rick both reported it and I saw it on a number of occasions, but you are right he had a free role and ended up trying to push through the centre of the park. What I'm saying is whenever he ended up out wide he looked ineffective.

Their fans piped down once we got camped in their half.
Exciting incidents get the crowds going FACT.
This has been discussed many times but to reiterate: forcing people to sit with people with different spectating habits inhibits noise.
I don't think we are much different from most other clubs in this regard, especially ones with new grounds.
Having no one at the club who understands or empathises with fans doesn't help either.

at defenders. I would also consider using Dave as alternate attacking midfielder, especially if we need to chase a game. He can read a game, loves a tackle ,has blistering pace and likes a pop at goal.[/QUOTE]
Always wondered why they dont get left to just attack and leave defense for another cpl. Still it aint rocket science so i know nowt.

Wednesday played well in the first half last night...but when they didn't get a goal they predictably sat back for the entire second half. I think most teams know that if they don't go one up against us in the first 45 we'll run them off the park in the second.

Looking forward to the next 3 games against some mid table sides...

    Go Wolves 2-1

Looks like he's two footed too which is a huge bonus, people are on about Robertson but for me Dave is a far more promising player
