To be honest we could have had a better draw. Yes, it would be really exciting for both sets of fans but there were teams out there I would feel more confident against. Van Gaal may be erratic and under pressure, but unfortunately our record against him is simply the worst possible. We've not even managed a point against him since he's been there.

We've definitely HAVE to put away these chances we'll create against them

 

both times this season we've faced them its been without Coutinho...and Sturridge...

 

Their match against Arsenal this weekend will be a good indicator. If they lose as expected, I'll be more confident. If they win, I'll be fearing the worst.

 

And of late the mancs also.

 

Surely you don't compare Liverpool to Arsenal

 

van gaal might have a perfect record against us last 2 and a half seasons but his record v klopp is only 1-0, a flukey 1-0 might i add, a flukely 1-0 in which we were the dominant team and if not for de gea we would have strolled to victory by 2 or 3 goals

 

Arsenal are 10 points ahead of Yoonited, going by your comparison point Yoonited's miniscule 3 point lead over us means means you can't seriously compare them to Arsenal either.

 

That's my point. They have a better GK than us with mignolet nowhere as good as DeGea. So we create more chances and more shots on target than them at Anfield. But we did not/could not score our chances.

In that tie, we simply have to reverse that trend. We need to breach DeGea and hopefully mignolet will be more solid. No point dominating if we lose in the end. And if we convert the chances then we should be ok.

 

I don't, otherwise I would be saying things like "if City beat Liverpool I will feel a bit more confident"

 

Or to put it another way, your strikers are just not clinical enough
