Coma is My fave GNRsong closely follwed by Dont Damn Me Its my karaoke song, my wife (who saw them live on the original release of Use Your Illusions) gets a hard on everytime I take the mic for this song Honest
frusciante is a great guitarist. Do you remember that solo album he did ? I think there was a song / lyric on there that went 'Your pussy's glued to a building on fire'
That's some top name drop right there. Big fan of Fleetwood mac. I have a few friends in the industry now, not through my band, we just play for fun really, semi-pro mainly local gigs, weddings etc. But some of my friends have made it quite big in the R&B/Broken beat scene. This one was produced by a good friend of mine Darren Benjamin aka Daz-I-Kue
Peter is/was one of the most naturally gifted guitarists I have ever heard. His touch, his phrasing, use of dynamics, were all exquisite. He could say more with one note than many could with a hundred. Not a bad songwriter either! For instance, most people think Santana wrote 'Black Magic Woman' - wrong! It was Peter!...
The guys are a couple of really talented young lads from London who share in a DJ collective that my band do gigs with. We play a live set of our material and then the DJ's carry on the party afterwards. When these two are involved it's a real treat, as they have their own careers away from our little collective down here. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Busy Twist.
Tonight, I have learned to play the solo out of Killer Queen. It's a very simple solo, but a very effective one. It was clearly composed, like almost all of Brian May's solos. I first heard it when I was a very young lad, and I fell in love with it, then. It has something magical about it, very much in keeping with the song. We play mainly classic rock in my band, but I have always learned all kinds of stuff, mainly for my own edification.
