Shall I support thee for this Saturday? Thou art so Saintly and so red and white: Rough Blues do shake with fear at fearless play, And Soton's backs will always mark them tight; Sometime too hot the eye of Pelle shines, Not often is his goal collection slimmed; More Mane's skills than Hazzards are refined; Big Forster's goal is rarely more than skimmed. Our Jordie Clasie shall not ever fade, Nor lose possession of the ball thou know'st; No cockneys brag we wander in their shade, When in Prem Tables we will rise, we grow'st: So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long live Saints, and Saints give life to me.
Hiddink says that Southampton will be a big test for Chelsea. Now I know he was unlikely to say that we would be a push over, but I shall take it as a compliment and a sign of how far we have come.
A little pre-match article from me, on the Yahoo! website. https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/saints-must-show-faith-sadio-022600185.html
I think you might be shy of a couple of commas there DTLW. Otherwise Saints might be going into a game tomorrow with Chelsea, who are the team who are occupying 6th place. I know we know Saints have 6th place, but someone might not, And then there's the historical reader.
I'm going to the football as a punter again! Happy days. Even happier days: I'm going to St. Mary's. Totally stoked.

Well, there's a well informed sports journo. Obviously hasn't noticed that we can play tika-taka, long ball, medium ball, counter attacking, overlap, second ball, second phase, over-the-top, channels, between-the-lines, lost causes, set plays, whatever. And that's all with the ball. Without the ball we can selectively press the living daylights out of Fabregas so that his form takes a dive and shut up shop even with 9 outfield players on our side.
Fabregas? Still not half the player he was. Dangerous if he's given space, of course, but the best creative players can make space out of nowhere and I'm not sure he's capable of doing that. Plus he'll be playing a diffefent Southampton to the one described in the article.
You've been paying attention, young feller-me-lad. Unlike the prat who wrote the article. Pundits were raving about Fabregas against City's kids. They didn't lay a glove on him. Shame Vic isn't playing, but I'm sure we'll give him a warm welcome.
