Orlando Pownell has made a name for himself defending alleged sex offenders, Gary and Phil Neville's dad being one. He was found not guilty. Does anybody think a guy like this has 'morals'? Somebody who cares not if the person is innocent, only that there is insufficient evidence to convict his client. He's a clever guy and that's why AJ has employed him at all costs. We can deduce nothing from a not-guilty verdict, it does not mean he never did it. I'm also fairly certain he'd be more than willing to go the distance with Maggie Byrne in court if he had to, his word against hers, if it meant A) another pay day for him and B) it helps him some way in this case.
It must be true then, A lying nonce said it through his Brief. Good as a lie detector. Because a defence lawyer has never mis-represented or twisted anything to make a point in defending his client.

To even find out who that was would require an investigation, something the club couldn't do while the criminal investigation was on going. No they didn't. Police don't disclose evidence of an on going case to an employer. You're talking mistrial seriousness now. Aj and his brief could have chosen to share evidence with the club, but what they showed them and how they presented it was entirely up them and had nothing to do with the police at all. For all we know, AJ's brief could have shown them selected texts which expose no more than a bit of flirting. You have no idea what the club knew or didn't know. Not a clue mate. None of us do. But the police didn't hand over anything at all to the club.
