I agree there's a lot of kiddy swearing on here. It's a bit like kids in the playground trying establish their place in the hierarchy by swearing more or louder than their mates. It was pretty funny recently when one regular reacted to abuse by his mates by upping his swear rate by about 500%!!

It's become boring, for the main part. Folk seem disinclined to discuss football, simply calling anyone who challenges an idea on tactics as stupid or worse - it has become the slanging home of a few; they do it to themselves with the edge of banter and then turn collectively when they find someone being outside of their thinking. I'm sure they won't agree with this. I post very little these days, as folk post diatribes without reading properly before they respond with their insults, they jump in without looking back and generally seem to behave like the pub loudmouth (who wouldn't be tolerated). What is particularly poor are the one line snide remarks that are based on a false opinion due to either drink, laziness or simple stupidity; when questioned they don't have either the wit or the decency to reply in any manner, let alone a reasonable one. The Match Day thread is a classic example of what is wrong; it was clearly hijacked as a forum for a few to discuss their own music tastes - why? Eventually, after a few polite complaints, one poster set up a separate music thread, I have commented on that separately. In my opinion the moderation should be discussed as it is not now as it was intended to be.
Some of the banter is great though and we do have good threads. I think you do get quite skilled at cutting through the crap and become quite immune to it in the end. There are some great posters. I don't know of any that are a total waste of space, I have read good posts from just about all on here.
I argued a lot. Trying to refrain from it as firstly it becomes too time consuming and secondly I simply can't be bothered anymore. Life is too short. Peace out to the usual suspects.
