Just need to put those pinkies into someone who desperately needs them after smoking all their lives.
Just watching a piece about Savile and Stuart Hall. A friend of mine appeared in It's a Knockout and she told me at the time she was warned by a BBC assistant not to be alone with Hall. So it was well known at the time.
Just got back from seeing Fable and The Cult at the Colston Hall in Bristol. Epic night, met the lady herself and Mr. Laces in the bar after her set so missed the second band altogether. She was great, and the Cult were pretty awesome too!
I am a fan of America as a country - it's got some fantastic places to visit but I can't understand why they haven't done anything about guns. It's ridiculous.
Money and stupidity, sadly, Tom ............. If you want a prime example, look to their Republican Presidential candidates ........... none of them will do anything about gun laws if they get in - they're too busy arguing about terrorists and Mexicans .................
Sounds a good night. The Cult, now there was a band from the 80's. Is Ian Astbury still with them? I saw him front a band with Kreiger and Manzarek about 12 years ago and he did a very passable Jim Morrison.
Ian Astbury and the fabulous Billy Duffy on guitar are still there from the original lineup. Yes, Astbury does come across as a bit of a Jim Morrison figure on stage, especially when he interacts with the audience., and there are flashes of the Doors in their act. A great show to a packed Colston Hall with everyone on their feet most of the time. And Fable and her band did themselves proud too, despite having to start at 7:30 with only a 25 minute set. They'll win a lot of new friends on this tour.
