Missed the second half but from what i saw of the first, I thought the front 3 were really good. So fluid and great link up play. With a more time together, they'll get better.

The midfield - meh, it is what it is. The sooner we get rid of Milner, and Henderson is no longer captain and starter, the better.

But at least we're through! Onwards and upwards.

Didn't see too much wrong from in the first half (admittedly I was at someone's leaving drinks so couldn't focus on the screen for too long!).

But he's only 22 - he shouldn't be our best CM yet. Hopefully we bring in at least 2 quality CM's this summer - someone for Can to learn from.

Italians will all go out of cl in last 16 so chavs, and le arse match that.

If we hold up our end in europa the gap in the race to take the 3rd place in European rankings will widen.

I'd be cheeky and ask can we close in on Germany in 2nd place.

I'd doubt many English clubs will be past next round on current showings

Would prefer someone like braga or anderlecht. Close enough that don't have to travel to freezing Russia or Ukraine

 

I hoping for a draw against one of the big teams - we're gonna have to play them eventualy if we want to win this thing and If we aren't good enough to win ti I'd rather find put sooner than later. Besides, we tend to make hard work of beating supposedly "easy" teams in europe.

Agree that we need to avoid a trip to Russia Turkey or Ukraine though
