To be honest Arsenal are going to beat us no matter what happens. We're going to have a reserve team out and the defence will be the same as tonight. Blind and Carrick at CB were terrible.

Arsenal will start as favourites no doubt about it. No DeGea Smalling Rooney Martial. Arguably the best 4 players we have. But to sit back and defend in depth will be asking for trouble. Hopefully Depay Mata and Lingard will maintain the little form they've discovered. If Rashford join them in attacking their defence with mertesacker at their heart, who knows?

Given the enforced line up it was a very good result. The injury situation is beyond ridiculous.

If Mourinho takes over what would he do in a similar situation, play with 8 players as he doesn't select youth team players?!

 

The kids played very well. It really was a great game simply because of the attitude of the players and their approach to the game. Clearly Van Gaal hasn't yet had enough time to sap the confidence out of our reserves and so they played the United way.

 

I just saw that they won earlier so they would have had their "we're back" swagger on. Dippers, they're funny. Hi Paige!

 

Having already won they felt secure in their gloating. They even had the first Midget goal to encourage them to wum but then as usual the end with egg on their faces. Poor RS fans. Their lucky dodgy pen win gets totally eclipsed by United's 5-1 and by Rashford.

The reality is you want us to lose every game in the same way I wanted you to lose every game even though I knew that it would mean Rodgers would get the sack, which was inevitable anyway as the guy is clueless.
