I'm sure that your presence will be missed...... :emoticon-0137-clapp

Look - WE know we're being abused by the fools in charge of the club, but some of the comments here are just dumb. The prices have been set - people know what they are - so eiither buy one and we'll see you matchday, or don't. The ground will be full whatever happens (after all, it's only a "pokey little ground", albeit one with way more atmosphere than many a plastic new-build), so the only difference is that your ticket proce will end up getting spent by the missus or the kids instead of you....

There are a surprising amount to be honest with you, just not too many official supporters clubs...in fact there are nearly as many in Ireland as there are in the rest of the British Isles<laugh>

It depends. In North Birmingham where I live. Behind Villa (for obvious reasons), United, Liverpool and Arsenal, Chelsea easily get the biggest turn out. There are quite a handful of Chelsea fans down my local but nowhere near as many as the other 4 clubs I have listed. The Spurs fans that tend to go all tend to be London based. My Welsh mate is a Spurs fan, but him aside I can't say I've come across a Spurs fan outside the M25. I'm sure there are plenty, you just have to look in the right areas.

Being a skeptic, I think there is likely to be a correlation between the number of official supporters clubs and the rate of price increases at the stadium. It's the simple solution - if you price out the local fans, bus some of them in from somewhere else. Chelsea probably don't have that many official clubs cos they had their ticket prices frozen under Abramovich so weren't pricing out the local fans.

Re: the QPR prices, they've got the smallest stadium in the PL by a fair way - only Swansea comes close. So it's sadly only natural that they want to up the prices as much as possible to make as much money as possible. As long as they are still filling, or at least mostly filling, it then that's gonna give them the most moolah to pay for the players that keep them in the PL. It's the same for any club - when the Glazers took over Utd one of their main financial gains came when they upped the ticket prices and turned us from a club that made around £2 million a match and had a 20,000 waiting list into a club that makes around £3 million a match with no waiting lists. Other clubs might not be so blatant about it, but they'll be doing the same thing - skimming the fans that are willing to pay the most to maximise their revenue.

It is a shame for the genuine fans that are priced out, but then if it makes the difference between PL survival or not then I wonder how many QPR fans would be against it. If it was a choice of playing in the Championship with low prices or playing in the PL with high ones, what do you think they'd choose? After all, most Arsenal fans weren't too strongly against the price rises that came with moving to the Emirates, cos they saw how important it was to raise more money to stay competitive with Utd and Chelsea. I reckon if QPR spend their new revenue on players that keep them in the PL, their fans will think the same at the end of the season.

P.S. No, I won't go to QPR away. But that's cos I'm a miserly bugger who would rather save his pennies and just go watch it down the pub :)

I must admit that is excessively high, but I love London aways so I'll very likely be going regardless of the price.

    More simply:

We haven't won an awful lot in comparison to some teams.

I meet Liverpool and Utd fans everywhere, further down the line we get the Goonz...I have never met one Tottenham fan from outside of the home counties, but that's not to say they are without success.

    It's generally about two things:

1: Profile of the club and it's ability to attract and retain peoples attention through it's successes

    2: Whoever your dad supported

That's only in my experience though<ok>

Yep, same as last year. Went to Arsenal, Fulham, Spurs and West Ham and will be replacing the last with QPR this year. One of the reasons I like as many London teams to be in the top flight as possible or that we get them in cup ties. I don't really do the ones outside London if I can't get a few people to go with me, unless it's somewhere not too far like Reading.

I think QPR's new pricing puts them above everyone else in charging for away tickets, even in the B games. It's quite substantial actually. Expect empty stands for when the likes of Wigan and the lot come to town (no offence to any Wigan fans).

I will go to QPR away even if the price is way too high. The tickets will all sell out quickly wether we agree with pricing or not so I would rather be at the game.

The only thing that is slightly swaying me is that I've never been to Loftus Road before + I won't have to pay for travel

I couldn't get down to Fulham as it was a Monday Night. Let's not talk about Arsenal :(

I will be going to all the away derbies apart from QPR which I am thinking about. Spurs Away is the fay before my birthday and providing none of the others are midweek it should be fine.

Let's hope we have 12 points to look forward to, unlike the miserable 5 we got last year <party>

You need at least 7 points from those 4 away matches to win the league imo
