Great stuff. Hairs on the neck, spine tingling, tears in the eyes stuff. And the emphasis on the H u l l C i t y in the chorus makes it all the better.
Haven't really watched the FA Cup stuff as a whole since it happened. Forgot how good that Sunderland game was, as the 2 games following it overshadowed it. Standing there excited for the prospect of returning to Wembley, regardless of opposition... and when it was Sheff Utd... even better.
Do the Allams know anything about this? I really doubt it. The camera focuses on them in the stands just as the words "Don't forget history" are sang
I rember leaving the Sunderland game almost to St Stephens hearing the cheers all around when the draw was announced
I assume just the music, the people that made the video didn't own the copyright on much of it and City won't risk using it.
Love this song, effing epic to me. Was there an original video that went with it? If there was it wasn't this one. Love the editing making sure the reference to history was cut to show Pappa Allam, then the graphics show City being rammed down Deano's throat (not sure that was deliberate)
Great idea. If it is not possible to show the video how about the words on the big screen. Full KC singing city's on fire. Now that will be a hairs on the back of the neck moment.
I loved this song when it was done for the Cup Final and was disappointed that it was never really taken on and used by the Club. To have a club song written as good as this, particularly with a fantastic verse that the fans can use, it should be played in its entirety every home game 10mins before the game. The Club can produce a suitable video to play alongside it on the big screen to get the hairs raising.. Lets get the KC rocking for the run in.
Forgetting the city link, this is a good tune in its own right. could be adopted like the Leith song at Hibs
I really cant believe this will be shown when such an emphasis is on the C I T Y and the very last words are part of Allam's most famous quote. I welcome it, Im just wondering if this means a) he doesnt know about it or b) the old fool is finally thawing...
