I was pretty annoyed with myself because I'd took PSV for the draw at first, but then changed my mind and thought Ath Madrid would win
Roker Riches: Week #8 - We're Getting Quite Good At This By GRokerReport, Danny Roberts, Andy Tomlinson, Brian Cummins, and RoryFallow on Feb 26, 2016, 1:30a + please log in to view this image Tony Marshall/Getty Images Winners, winners everywhere. Which pundit do you think is most likely to win this week? Vote in the poll at the bottom of the article! TWEET SHARE (3) PIN Danny's overdraft gamble paid off again this week, with his 15.36/1 four-fold paying out big money. His win sees him jump up to third in the table. Gav's winning streak ended as neither of his punts came in, but he clings on to his top spot with Brian Cummins following closely behind - another winner from him moves him up to second. Rory lost a tenner this week and despite sitting pretty on £55 he's moved down to fourth. Below the top four are Andy and Jim, who might need to take a few risks if they're to get back into the race. Andy's punt on Reading to beat West Brom on Saturday came in but his overall profit was only £3.50, enough to see him move off the foot of the table. Week #6 Table: Pundit Last Week's Profit/Loss Current Balance @GRokerReport - £20 £116.02 @FunkyPhallus + £31.82 £89.97 @DJRoberts22 + £76.80 £57.80 @RoryFallow - £10 £55 @SAFCsource + £3.50 £3.50 @Jim_Holmes_101 - £4 £2.12 @RoryFallow We haven't kept a clean sheet since November, and when you look at West Ham's attacking options you'd think that probably won't continue this Saturday. I'm going to totally disregard that, though, and go with the thinking of "well, it's about time we kept a clean sheet." We have Lamine Kone now as well, so what can possibly go wrong?! West Ham v Sunderland to finish 0-0 is 10/1 with Betfair, so I'll place an ambitious £5 on that. Elsewhere, three quid on fellow strugglers Swansea, Norwich, Bournemouth and Aston Villa all to lose would return £24 (including stake) with Betfair. They play Spurs, Leicester, Watford and Stoke respectively so whilst it's only a modest amount, it's got a good chance of coming in. I need to bring some coin here after a bad few weeks too! Picks: West Ham v Sunderland to finish 0-0: 10/1 - £5 Spurs, Leicester, Watford and Stoke all to win: 7/1 - £3 @SAFCSource We go to West Ham United on the back of Slaven Bilic's side thrashing Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup but hopefully the Hammers will suffer from over-confidence considering the team they beat are Championship strugglers who boasted Chris Brown up front. We need to follow up our four points picked up against Liverpool and Manchester United - as well as the improved performance against Manchester City - and pick up at least a point here. It will be a tough game regardless, particularly with the form of Dimitri Payet but I fancy Jermain Defoe to notch against his former club this weekend, which should go a long way to us getting a result. Pools take on top of the table Northampton on Saturday, with the Cobblers twelve points clear at the top of League Two. The visitors should have far too much for Hartlepool, so a 2/1 for them to be winning at half-time and full-time seems a good bet. Picks: Jermain Defoe to score at any time: 5/2 - £5 Northampton HT/FT: 2/1 - £5 @GRokerReport One thing neither Sunderland or West Ham seem to struggle to do is score goals. Having watched the Hammers play against Blackburn at the weekend, I can well see why - their flair out wide combined with the pace and strength of their attack is a fairly daunting prospect. Obviously, they aren't always going to play as well as they did last weekend but I just don't see them not scoring, especially when you consider our defensive record. I'm only going to pop a fiver on this at evens - I don't want to take too many risks this week! Elsewhere there are some interesting matches this weekend across Europe. Celta Vigo are away at out of form Getafe, so I think I'll put them in a treble with Roma (who are away to Empoli) and Stuttgart, who have been in fine form and take on bottom club Hannover at home. £11.02 on that returns £72.02. All odds came from Betway. Picks: Both teams to score in the Sunderland v West Ham game: Evens - £5 Celta Vigo, Roma and Stuttgart all to win: 6.53/1 - £11.02 @FunkyPhallus I'm expecting two confident sides to really have a go this weekend. The new signings have really given us a spark and West Ham will be buzzing from their midweek goal-fest in the cup, with Dimitri Payet in fine form. I'm going with both sides to score at 4/5. I'm focusing on League 1 this week with a treble. I fancy Coventry, Gillingham and Wigan all to pick up home wins at 4.72/1. Picks: West Ham v Sunderland Both teams to score: 4/5 - £10 returns £18 Coventry, Gillingham & Wigan all to win: 4.72/1 - £10 returns £57.20 @DJRoberts22 Amazingly, I've won another bet. I know. I should probably calm down now. My first bet this week, and I have no idea what to bet on Sunderland wise, as it's an instant money loser, is going to have to be a simple one and I'm placing £3 on Jermain Defoe to score anytime at 9/4 on Bet365. My second, after my winning four fold acca last week, will look to replicate my success. A Wigan win at home to Bury looks plausible, as does in form Barnsley picking up all the points on their travels to Crewe Alaxandra. In League Two, Northampton to beat Hartlepool looks likely, as does Leyton Orient to grab a home win against Crawley Town. At just 6.28/1 it's not great, but a £7 stake will wield a nice enough return. Picks: Jermain Defoe to score anytime: £3 - 9/4 Wigan, Barnsley, Northampton and Leyton Orient all to win: £7 - 6.28/1
Cashed out on a Celta Vigo and WBA double for £42 would have won £60 if I'd held on. Never mind, still profit.
You can get 6/1 on Stoke this weekend vs Chelsea away, Chelsea have Terry out and others will follow as they have PSG on Wednesday and Everton in the FA Cup next weekend. I can see them resting a few players this weekend vs Stoke.
Does betfred still do the treble the odds on one winner with a lucky 15. Got 4 picked out for Cheltenham tomorrow.
Not fancying any coupons this weekend, had this little one and I'll probably do a couple of goal crazy slips as well.
