so even though we still have the same attack we had last season (that was, may I remind you, the 2nd best in the league only for a certain Norwich City who got promoted), we're somehow going to struggle? At the very least we'll survive due to our goalscoring rate.
you think ? snodgrass will be gone by deadline day and becchio is a sick note. forget last seasons its gone / over. this season is a whole new ball game. leeds will be the new sheffield utd.
The latest odds I checked out this morning have us in 11th place. West Ham, Leicester, Forest, Birmingham, Reading, Middlesbro, Southampton, Blackpool, Cardiff, Ipswich, LEEDS
Unless we sign a couple more good players then I think they have it about right. Big shame as we should have been looking for an improvement but I really cannot see one..
Cardiff have just signed Miller for big money and have a frog under 21 star on his way as well, making 10 signings. Ipswich have just signed Stockdale and J Emanuel Thomas on top of Jewells other buys. Blackpool have spent some good money recently and are also adding more with the Adams money
How are we any worse than last season? I would say we are slightly better and will be even more so with a couple of signings.
How can you have the 2nd best attack in the league and not make the play-offs? That has to be down to poor management. Becchio was absolutely vital to our attack last season and who knows how long he'll be out? With Kisnorbo back and Lees coming through, we could find that we struggle to score goals but tighten up at the back this season. Simon, so you think Grayson was faultless and we only fell short because the players who improved immensely underperformed?
The highlight of Hull City's existance was 2 years struggling against the drop in the Premier League. I mean, I wasn't there during the 70s so I can't really "live in the past" or any of that, but it's nice to know my club has a rich history as a solid foundation for future success. Rather that and occasionally feel proud of something that doesn't have much relevance in todays game than be a Hull fan with their "mauled by the tigers" chant.
I don't think he's faultless, but then again no manager is. I'm saying I blame our failure to get into the play-offs on a few key moments in key games in which our players failed to deliver. Is that so hard to understand?
WIGAN. To replace Villa bound N'Zogbia. As for all these so called great signings been made by the likes of Cardiff, Leicester and so forth. Average at best. Blackpool have spent very wisely and much better than anyone. BUT MONEY DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANYTHING. Leeds Utd have lived in the past for far to long and thats all you can do now.
Bookmakers had it right about Leeds as we are now 11th - I bet Forest wish that they had it right too...
Very funny reading comments on here saying Cardiff overachieved last season even though they had Bellamy, Bothroyd, Chopra, Burke, Whittingham, Ramsey (1 month), JET, Olofinjana and Koumas and an experienced defence. They should have walked the league last year.
