Bridget Jones diary made me go WOW - as in Why oh Why have I agreed to go and watch this pile of **** in the cinema with a stupid bint who I quite fancy but probably won't even let me slip her one afterwards as she's rapdily realising I'm not her type because I keep making cynical commnets about the film and she thinks it's marvelous.

I think it was good but I'd have to watch it a few times to get it properly I think. Mind you, my mind does drift off watching films sometimes. Especially after a few beers.

Hated that Scott Pilgrim film even turned it off after an hour.

Liked Insisious and X-Men First Class for the turn your brain off kind of films and watched Crazyheart again recently which is brilliant.

What do you suggest ER? You are very quick to shoot down everyone else's suggestions of films to watch, but aren't very forthcoming when it comes to suggesting your own...

ER watches silent movies, he's a wee bit out of touch these days.

ER - LAUREL AND HARDY DON'T MAKE FILMS ANYMORE.

Laurel and Hardy were ****. I don't understand why people thought they were funny at the time.

I watched that the other night, it's had mixed reviews but I thought it was good. You could tell it was written by a woman though, all a bit emotional.

My missus has just finished reading "Lovely Bones" the book. I was going to read it after her but then I saw the film was on telly so I though "**** reading it".

I missed the film. But I'm still not reading the book and none of you can make me do it.

  19. The Lovely Bones - probably the most girly book I've ever read and totally loved it.

I've got three daughters and was pretty much greeting at least once every chapter.

The film is a poor, poor effort.

Right enough, there could be some mileage in a "girliest book you've ever read" thread
