Sickens me that the smack rat had the headlines when this happened

 

a terrible thing to happen. Makes me sick that people do that sort of thing

 

How can anyone do things like this. It's sickening and should be sent to death themselves.

If it was in force, people might think twice before doing things like this and losing their own lives.

 

And create a martyr for all the right wing idiots, and neo-nazis, all over the world? No way.

Have the trial behind closed doors, so that he doesn't have an opportunity to ventilate his hateful views, then lock him away, in solitary confinement, until the flesh falls off his bones.

 

Firstly RIP to the young lad to lost his life. Secondly, the ar5eh0le who done this will get a leinient sentence as the Norway judicial system is a daft if not worse than ours. He desreve to be leathally injected and thats being kind to him!!!

 

I heard somewhere that the maximum sentence he can get is 21 years...which, to be honest, is a disgrace! Just deport him to America and let them deal with him electrically...

 

I feel so sorry for his family and the families of all the other victims. To have a son taken from you at the age of just 21 must be more horrendous than I can imagine. It's when you hear stories like this that makes just want to go home and throw your arms around your children.

 

Although these atrocities are beyond most peoples comprehension, and if it had been one of my kids I would undoubtedly have wanted to see him dead, I do not agree with bringing back the death penalty in any way, shape or form.. For me this is bringing the justice system down to the level of the perpetrators, and does not bring the victims back to life...

You heard right, but they can give him multiple maximum sentences for his crimes so lets just say he killed 10 people they can give him 210 years

So he should end up with about 2000 years if they count everyone who died...i'd rather he had that without any chance of parole (wouldn't want him leaving 10 years early!) than him put to death!

My younger brother was murdered back in Ireland, 22 years ago. He was a taxi driver, and had his skull stoved in by two drifters from Bristol, for the £60 he had on him.

At the subsequent trial, they got off on a technicality, as the Garda had made an unlawful arrest, and the confession that one of them had made, whilw in custody, was deemed inadmissable.

At the time I wanted revenge, which is natural, but these feelings faded with time, and I was left with the hope that what goes around comes around. Sure enough, one of them was subsequently murdered himself.

As regards the maximum sentence, I believe that it is normally 21 years, for murder, unless the Defendant is shown to pose a danger to society, in which case it can be increased. As this guy has admitted that he wanted to destroy Norwegian society, I can't see any difficulty in the Prosecutors here making a case for a life sentence.

 

Not so sure. Which is worse instant death via lethal injection or 21 years being anally injected by an angry Viking?

Terrible thing to have happened and my thoughts go out to all the victims and their loved ones.

I see that the defence lawyer is starting early with an insanity defence. Seriously hope that the judges don't fall for it and he gets a full custodial sentence. Lock him up and throw away the key I say!
